Questions about the recent arrivals in Spain and what happens next

I have some questions..
And I wondered if people knew any answers
Where have all the sudden visitors to Spain come from..
They must of been gathering somewhere,
did no one spot them gathering .
They seem to be all men ,
why Spain ,
Are they Hoping to live there
So this must of been a coordinated effort,
who planned it ..
Will Spain keep them and house them ?
Will they bring their families over
Is it a wind up ..are they all heading home eventually
It's very odd
What is Spain going to do ..will they let them stay like the others .
Spain has a left government?? So they don't mind ?

Well strictly true, they say no borders which in my opinion amounts to the same thing. Do you disagree?

Yes it does talk about ‘fair and humane system of managed immigration ’ , but you missed out the end of the sentence ‘where people can move if they wish to do so.’. I’m sure you weren’t deliberately attempting to misquote, but here is the full relevant paragraph:

“The Green Party wants to see a world without borders, until this happens the Green Party will implement a fair and humane system of managed immigration where people can move if they wish to do so.”

The manifesto doesn’t say no borders either.

It’s here.

https://greenparty.org.uk/about/our-manifesto/a-fairer-greener-welcome/

It’s very different and there are many points to provide a critique on. but nothing about having no borders.

It’s conflated because they have said they have a Vision of a world with no borders. Which is very different to proposing that the uk should be the only country with no borders.

Again you could critique this very idealistic vision. But instead you are just pushing the disinformation that the Green Party mentioned open borders in its manifesto.

Why do this? Why not argue with facts?

A Fairer, Greener Welcome - Green Party

Real hope.Real change. We welcome the contributions that migrants and refugees make to British society. We want to be welcoming, promote social cohesion and support migrants to put down roots. Green MPs will push for: << A Fairer, Greener World Vote Ho...

Given that the Greens see a way in via courting Muslim communities (not individual professional Muslims) who are keen to bring in more family and friends, they are never going to put forward a sensible policy - or any policy - on immigration.

They didn't get into Spain, it is a Spanish Colony I think actually in Africa.

It’s because all the boat crossings breach the EU border at some point so a massive failure like this is a concern, that route is a known route for north and west African illegal immigration and because nobody actually knew how many people crossed, who they are or what their intentions were.

Having been to Ceuta extensively - I used to sail there, a lot, I can assure you this is not a known route for immigrants. Once in Ceuta there is nowhere to go. And the Straits are at their widest there with the Straits current pushing into the med, from west to east so not sensible to launch small boats from Ceuta even if they find some there, which they won't.

Migrants normally launch further to the west in Morocco, so they end up frequently on Bolognia or Tarifa beach, and this is seen regularly.

Drug runners also launch further to the west but tend to go into either La Linea beaches of which there are several huge beaches, or to one of the ones further up the eastern coast of Spain around Duquesa/Estepona.

@batrat, just keep pushing your agenda, and I'll keep informing you of the real issues surrounding that area. 'Illegal immigrants' may be one of them, but not from Ceuta . . .

Nice try, but it’s not the people posting facts who are the ones with the agenda.

Cueta is of course a well known migrant route, I can assure you! as can the EU and UN. Below is an EU link of identified migrant routes with Cueta first in the list:

https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/policies/western-routes/

UNHCR

https://data.unhcr.org/en/situations/europe-sea-arrivals/location

This sort of thing runs right through this thread and others concerning immigration, just absolute nonsense. Lefties really are struggling since the ‘you’re racist’ stopped working to silence people aren’t they ? It’s almost like there really is no argument for mass uncontrolled immigration.

Edited

But you continue to miss the point. The original poster said they were concerned we would have those who entered Ceuta arriving in the UK.

If you properly read that article, the concern of the EU was not that Moroccans are arriving in Ceuta and immediately travelling to mainland Spain illegally or legally. Their concern is those who are claiming asylum when they arrive in Ceuta, which they are entitled to do. However that isn't what's happening here. What has happened is that Moroccans were able to get into Ceuta in extensive numbers. Their intention does not appear to be that of seeking asylum and nearly all have returned to Morocco.

In fact the last time this happened was in 2021 when 8000 Moroccans breached the border into Ceuta, 7,800 were returned according to the Human Rights observers. They were returned to Morocco by Spain, possibly illegally, without any investigation as to any asylum claim, which is entirely contrary to what Op has said or understood.

It would appear exactly the same has happened here.

Ceuta is not a known immigration route by sea to mainland Spain, is what I have been saying. It is not geographically conducive to that.

As I posted earlier, Moroccans can enter Ceuta to work, and for day trips as tourists. That some of them then claim asylum is hardly surprising, but they do not enter Ceuta with the intention of crossing the Straits in small boats.

The manifesto (copied below) doesn’t mention this.

https://greenparty.org.uk/about/our-manifesto/a-fairer-greener-welcome/

However the Green Party say generally that they have a vision for a world with no borders. This is very different to saying that they want the UK to be the only country with open borders.

You can absolutely disagree with them . It’s all quite idealistic but it’s completely false that the Green Party are advocating for no borders in the UK.
