Questions about the recent arrivals in Spain and what happens next

I have some questions..
And I wondered if people knew any answers
Where have all the sudden visitors to Spain come from..
They must of been gathering somewhere,
did no one spot them gathering .
They seem to be all men ,
why Spain ,
Are they Hoping to live there
So this must of been a coordinated effort,
who planned it ..
Will Spain keep them and house them ?
Will they bring their families over
Is it a wind up ..are they all heading home eventually
It's very odd
What is Spain going to do ..will they let them stay like the others .
Spain has a left government?? So they don't mind ?

🤣🤣 fucking hell. Talk about tenuous.

For future reference, at what distance from the U.K. would you think it’s acceptable for people to be concerned ?

It's extremely real.

Look it up. The telegraph has reported boat crossings are now reduced in price from last week to cash on this ( boats to the UK ). They have been down with the migrants ready to cross over.

what Does concerned mean in this context? Worrying about things you can’t control and indeed have no influence on is very mentally unhealthy.

I just read that as well ..so some are trying to claim asylum and going to be processed.
But some were economic migrants and have been returned home

Morocco is a safe country. They aren't likely to be able to claim asylum.

RoseField1 · 01/08/2026 19:32

Batrat · 01/08/2026 19:21

It’s related to the U.K. as Spain is one of the routes into the U.K.

But Ceuta isn't actually Spain! There's a whacking great sea in between Ceuta and Spain!

That's mad ,it's like it's just accepted,a normal day on a boat crossing,no consequences

Thankyou ,that was really helpful, I didn't know any of that

So why start a thread then? Especially one that makes it sound like these Moroccan people have settled themselves on the sunloungers of Benidorm awaiting onward transport to the UK.

Had you even heard of Ceuta or knew where it was before this week?

Weeellokthen · 01/08/2026 19:33

The Spanish Supreme court ruled, this week that Spain cannot deport migrants who arrive by sea. Therefore the interpretation by poverty driven Moroccans was that "this was their chance" for a better life, resulting in over 80 deaths.
Thats my basic understanding anyway

MaturingCheeseball · 01/08/2026 19:33

Why are some posters so desperate to shut down discussion?

And it’s a) stop talking about it b) it’s not happening c) what does it matter if 50,000 men enter Europe? And d) All British white men are far worse than migrants. Oh, and e) billionaires are worse than migrants.

If people are coming from Ceuta to the UK on a small boat, good luck to them. Anyone that resilient and resourceful could be extremely useful.

Yes ,that my understanding to ..very limited understanding I admit
I do appreciate people who took the time to answer my questions

It’s not a ‘whacking great sea’ it’s 15 miles, shorter than the channel crossing by 3 miles. It’s Spanish territory the same as Canary Islands and both are routes to the U.K.

If Moroccans are taking boats illegally from Morocco to Spain (and some are, I know that) why do they need to get into Ceuta first? What difference does it make being over the border if they are just going to take a small boat to mainland Spain?

Ok but they're not physically closer than they were when they were in Morocco. The distance is the same.

Perhaps Spain should stop invading and claiming bits of other countries Confused

I do realize that ,but only because I've just .looked it up

That right there is the problem with people like you. Research FIRST before attempting to create hysteria! Let me guess, someone voted for Brexit?

Standard far left arguments, at this point I don’t think even they can be bothered to put much effort into it though as you simply can’t hide the truth of what is happening

Petrine · 01/08/2026 19:45

60,000 illegal migrants stormed into Ceuta in one day. It must have been organised.

Maybe all European should give up all of their lands in permanent penance for winning some wars a few hundred years ago.

Maybe everywhere previously part of the Roman Empire should be surrendered back to the Italians.

Maybe everyone in the US should be forced to leave, except those with Native American heritage.

OP, there’s nothing wrong with being concerned that 50,000 men from Morocco decided to overrun a Spanish town. It’s actually very concerning how weak on border control European countries are perceived to be.

NorthCoast500 · 01/08/2026 19:53

Why the rush to shut down discussion on this? It’s in the news. It’s fair game like everything else.

Lankylegs3 · 01/08/2026 19:54

They were shocking scenes, mass organisation ..
But it's racist to want to talk about anything to do with immigration

Spain haven’t invaded anywhere since 1958 so no I don’t think that will help. Perhaps Europe should begin to take border control seriously and Spain shouldn’t have elected a socialist party to run the country who have encouraged illegal immigration.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 01/08/2026 19:59

Don't worry, I'm sure the new European Union's Entry/Exit System (EES) will sort it out.
It's what is was designed for. 🤪

It’s slightly less riskier crossing than Gibraltar but basically it’s because they are in Spain and EU once in Cueta and can claim asylum. The socialist party granting status to 500k illegal immigrants has prompted this.
Its fair to say from the reaction from France and Italy that everyone is simply fed up of this.

Really?
Have you EVER lived in Islamic Countries?
I will continue to fight for oppression against women, because that is what is coming to Europe.

Christ, some people must have no real problems of their own.

Imagine being “concerned” about migrants who are currently 1500 miles away.
