What it would be? Mine would be a very strong Southern Drawl. As deep south as possible. Think Texas or Alabama etc.

Yours?

I’m Irish and happy with my accent.

DonaldWheresMaTweezers · 31/07/2026 19:06

Cut glass posh so people would be scared of me 😆

MissCooCooMcgoo · 31/07/2026 19:07

Tallisker · 31/07/2026 19:08

Posh Scottish

Lizchaz · 31/07/2026 19:09

Mackem, not as strong as geordie.

Changeaboutnow · 31/07/2026 19:11

I'd love an Irish accent @Berlinlover
Unfortunately even after over 50 years of living in Scotland I still have an instantly recognisable North East England accent, even though I've picked up lots of Scottish words, phrases and expressions over the years.

MachineBee · 31/07/2026 19:13

I’d managed to ‘soften’ my Black Country accent to a vague midlands accent when living down south. But I’ve been back in my home town for just a couple of years and my accent is back as strong as ever. If I could pick an accent I think I’d like to sound French! Would attract nicer comments.

You'd be a shoo- in at the BBC!

Gowlett · 31/07/2026 19:15

I love listening to the Dutch, whether speaking their own language or English. Lovely!

Error404FucksNotFound · 31/07/2026 19:16

Scottish Highlands. The one that has a beautiful musical quality to it.

MadamWhippy · 31/07/2026 19:17

SpottyAlpaca · 31/07/2026 19:22

I’d love a canny Geordie accent. Why aye, lass.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 31/07/2026 19:23

SandwichSuperstar · 31/07/2026 19:24

Another one for Geordie.

I just instantly trust them.

I hope I never answer a telephone scam! 🫣🤣

canuckup · 31/07/2026 19:27

cityliving99 · 31/07/2026 19:38

I would love my husband to speak like Hugh Grant…

blythet · 31/07/2026 19:48

I’m Scottish but would love an Irish accent

MaggieBsBoat · 31/07/2026 19:50

I‘m Scottish but would love to sound Welsh. Sexy AF.

ExOptimist · 31/07/2026 19:55

RP like Celia Johnson in Brief Encounter.

Those saying Welsh which Welsh are you talking about? Valleys Welsh( hideous) is very different from Cardiff( ghastly) which is again very different from West Wales accents or North Wales or mid Wales.

ToadRage · 31/07/2026 19:57

I would love a Scottish accent. Not Glaswegian but proper Scottish. I love listening to my husband cousins talk with their lovely accents. I'm from the South West and have a faint South West twang.

hotmumshit · 31/07/2026 19:58

Changes daily

I think: Dublin as its the sexiest

But scouse as scousers are just funny peopls

I'm a londoner

poppymango · 31/07/2026 19:58

Welsh and North East English accents are my absolute favourites. So musical, I could listen to them all day.

I also love the classic old fashioned southern English RP accents that nobody really has anymore... think Vivien Leigh, really cut glass. They were so beautiful; like high art in speech form.

I know it was all rather elitist etc. etc. but I do think it's rather sad that nobody speaks like that anymore!

ToadRage · 31/07/2026 20:08

I'm surprised how many people are saying Welsh. I hate it. It never bothered me til i lived there and I realised just how awful their grasp of the English launguage is and the way they say certain words annoys the heck out of me.

parallhel · 31/07/2026 20:11

Irish accent for sure, gosh there's just something about it, that's all.

SeasideDaisy · 31/07/2026 20:11

I’d keep my London accent but I’d make it posh.. like Kate Middleton instead of my currant Kathy Burke.
