What it would be? Mine would be a very strong Southern Drawl. As deep south as possible. Think Texas or Alabama etc.

Yours?

I would be happy with a posh/RP accent

I am surprised at so may saying Geordie. In my experience, it can be a really hard accent to understand (at least to my southern ears). I don't struggle with the intelligibility of other northern accents, at least not that I am aware of.

My Mum had a beautiful Welsh accent, miss her voice every day. I had an Australian accent years ago and everyone loved it! I am quite happy with my neutral South East accent…well spoken with good pronunciation.

I like my non specific north east England accent, but I’d love to be able to swap it as I fancied with a french accent.

I'd like to have a French accent. For men ... someone that sounds like Jeremy Irons. His accent and voice sounds so sophisticated to me. South African .....lovely accent and I always think they sound so posh.

Welsh!

New Yorker here. I’m fine with my current accent.

The very pronounced NY accent you hear on TV actually goes back to the early Dutch settlers when the city was New Amsterdam.

I have a horrible speaking voice and hate to hear myself speaking but I'm happy with my NE Scottish accent as hardly anybody can tell what it is.

I do like Geordie and some Welsh accents.

DS was spotted with his NE accent way down south in an English school by a Scottish schools inspector.

I can still go proper Devon, which is an accent I love.

I'd love a Welsh accent. So warm and comforting

70isaLimitNotaTarget · Today 01:44

Liverpool but more Paul O'Grady than Craig Charles ( softer not the hacking sound )

My accent is favourably commented on a lot, Irish Scot. Wouldn't change it.

ETA @Flannelfeet I hail from Cork too!

I like the Yorkshire accent that was in the film Kes. (Hoyland?)

I would love a Scottish accent. Not Glaswegian but proper Scottish. I love listening to my husband cousins talk with their lovely accents. I'm from the South West and have a faint South West twang.

Proper Scottish?
