What it would be? Mine would be a very strong Southern Drawl. As deep south as possible. Think Texas or Alabama etc.

Yours?

I think: Dublin as its the sexiest

But scouse as scousers are just funny peopls

I'm a londoner

Edited

Scousers have a faint Dublin/Irish twang, well a lot of them went to work in Liverpool back in the day I suppose.

A Judi Dench accent; not sure what it is. I also love French accented English.

I have an Irish accent but would love a northern irish accent or one from Donegal.

Mangetouts · Yesterday 20:20

I like my own accent - nice Ayrshire. People have asked where I'm from in Northern Ireland which isn't a bad thing I think. I would like to have a nicer tone as I get squeaky when I'm under pressure. I'd love to have a radio friendly voice like Kirsty Wark or Kirsty Young.

I’d just like to be able to copy accents so I could sound like whatever I wanted ;)

French, it's so beautiful.

Donegal is in the north of Ireland.

RP like Celia Johnson in Brief Encounter.

Those saying Welsh which Welsh are you talking about? Valleys Welsh( hideous) is very different from Cardiff( ghastly) which is again very different from West Wales accents or North Wales or mid Wales.

Have yet to hear one I don't like but I'm sure, like Irish accents, some are more pleasant than others. Love melodic accents.

I have always wanted an RP accent, but "posh Northerner" will have to do!

Donegal is in the north of Ireland.

She meant one from Northern Ireland.

1dayatatime · Yesterday 21:12

Male: Posh Scottish

Female: Welsh as in Sian Lloyd or the South West accent of the Cadbury Caramel Bunny advert

FamingolosForDays · Yesterday 21:15

Northern Irish, North Welsh or Geordie 😆 although I work with someone who has lived in Bristol for a long time and I adore her accent.
I am one of those people that "pick up" accents which is probably really embarrassing but I can't help it!!!

Fedupoffeelingthisway111 · Yesterday 21:15

People keep saying Irish but are they referring to a northern Irish accent or a more southern Irish accent????

MsSquiz · Yesterday 21:16

Lizchaz · Yesterday 19:09

Mackem, not as strong as geordie.

Mackem is very different to Geordie, to those who know 😉

Meridas · Yesterday 21:17

Cork or Uist

Not sure where he is from ( or much about him) but Iain Dale on lbc has a lovely voice. As a female myself , I’d like a gravelly voice or Judi Dence’s one. Or Joanna lumley who has that lovely posh , but not too posh , voice.’!

pambeesleyhalpert · Yesterday 21:21

Irish!

TheChosenTwo · Yesterday 21:22

Mine is a very dull RP accent, I can either rough it up a bit or posh it up a bit 😂 but it’s quite boring.
I love listening to the wide variety of accents we have across the country, and I find it fascinating that we have such a vast array considering we are a relatively little country.
I don’t think I’d swap mine for anything else even though it’s boring, I can’t think of another I’d rather have.

Yetanothername3 · Yesterday 21:23

I was brought up RP in English and have the standard accents in the 2 other languages I speak.

Specialagentblond · Yesterday 21:26

not so much an accent. I get told mine is neutral. But a husky voice would be lovely.

Nousernameideaaga · Yesterday 21:27

Irish , specifically Anne from motherland 🤣

AgnesMcDoo · Yesterday 21:28

I’m very happy with my own Scottish accent
