We had an odd one of trying to use up what we have before payday + what is fresh on offer in Lidl.

It resulted in skin on oven fries, topped with a kind of mexican-spiced beef mince (almost like taco beef) and cheese, with Mexican street corn salad, homemade guacamole and some dipping tortillas.

We are currently creating a meal-planning spreadsheet and will be watching this thread in the hopes of stealing your meals!

I did some roasted sweet potatoes and we had them with chic peas baked in chipotle and a nice salad on the side.

Tuma steak

This is my mums favourite cold meal, she sometimes mashes the last bit of beef with the salad cream.

Didn’t really think the heatwave through. We had jackets, sausages in onion gravy and peas & carrots

Quick salad on my own with avocado, cucumber, smoked mackerel, red pepper and vinaigrette. Also had two babybels
half a piece of ciabatta, a nectarine

It's 34C here so we are just having a cheese ploughmans with brie, compte, stilton, grapes, chutney and baguette then bananas and clotted cream ice cream.

We had a bbq, so had bits and bobs. I did have plenty of salad and veg, so it wasn't all beige burger buns at least!

Beef mince noodles with broccoli

We had a kind of fake away. Egg fried rice with mushrooms, green pepper and onion. Crispy seasoned fried tofu for dd1 and breaded chicken chunks (the real chicken ones) for DH and dd2 (I had a mixture of both) and that lovely, but terribly bad for you curry sauce you get from the range/B&M etc that tastes like the one from the Chinese.

Pork stir fry with noodles.

Minced turkey thigh and pancetta (in a roasted veg and garlic tomato sauce) rigatoni. It was nicer than it sounds!

A massive salad, but was too much for me

M&S '3 ingredient' beefburger left over from a bbq DS had at the weekend in a lettuce wrap with cheese and garlic mayo. 2 pieces garlic bread and a small mixed salad. Don't eat much red meat but this was bloody delicious.

Now eating skittles for desert.

It was a lazy evening here, so we had a stir fry with tofu.

Salmon, herby new potatoes, tender stem broccoli and asparagus.

Last night I was on my own and couldn't be arsed so just had a bowl of cereal. It varies in this house!
