How much have you spent this weekend, and what on?

Just curious… nosey even. I usually spend quite a bit every weekend, soft play, farm, a birthday party, petrol, seaside day out, or dinner or lunch etc etc.

How much have you spent this weekend; and on what? A big food shop maybe?

Also curious if you are a family or not as that can make a difference.

£13 at the pub on 2 beers and 2 pork scratchings
£17 at Sainsbury’s on gift card and wrap, ingredients for nachos, bag of sweets

it’s been a very quiet weekend in terms of spending as DD had a party yesterday, present was bought last weekend, and then went to her DF’s until just now, so DP and I popped to the pub. Didn’t need diesel this weekend and the food shop will be tomorrow. This is a particularly low spend weekend for us!

ETA I’m a single parent to DD, DP and I don’t live together and have separate finances.

About £350, on things for my holiday!

The lowest spend weekend in forever, about £7! We were visiting my mum who hasn't been very well so lots of meals and coffees at home. Was lovely to be fair and my bank card was happy !

Amazingly this weekend I've spent absolutely nothing.

I did have a bit of a splurge at the end of last week and bought towels and a new coffee perculator though. And I've just changed my food shopping habits so whereas I always used to go to the supermarket on a Sunday that is no longer part of my routine.

No doubt if I had family to feed and entertain it would be a totally different story.

No kids, so my response isn't fair really, but I've done nothing. I bought some clothes totalling £150.

585 odd quid on a weekend away in York and Harrogate
Nearly home but cannot be arsed to cook so will be around another 60 on a meal at our local pub

£20 on a day out at a national trust property and a drink and cake for dh and I. I've also done an online food shop but won't he charged until Tuesday so it doesn't count. Have just sold something too for £30 so I guess I've made a tenner!!

£45.04 in Sainsbury’s on half a bag of shopping that was 60% lolly ices.

Family of 5 spent £0 pretty typical for us most weekends really. We mainly do free stuff, trips to park,bike ride. Play in the garden etc. We take our own food and drinks with us. Might have a ice cream if its available but mostly we don't spend much.

£15 birthday present for DC2 friend. Party was yesterday but I picked up gift before the weekend.

Every weekend is pretty similar and this weekend there were no "extras". I have a weekly Sainsburys delivery for packed lunches / heavy stuff / cat litter etc (but also top up several times throughout the week), DC3 has private swimming lessons every weekend and Saturday night I don't cook so we either go out (obviously more expensive than a take away) or have an M&S dine on meal or supermarket pizzas and sides (works out cheaper than a takeaway).

This weekend was a cheap one 😳

it is a lot but flights are an annual trip to family and Costs is a once per quarter trip and means weekly shop isn’t as much. However, will need to tighten belt now for a few months

Zero alcohol, zero treats just what we need to feed ourselves.

£6.50 on a much needed ice cream during a 25 mile walk yesterday and then £50 on pizza and wine for DH and I in the evening. I’m training for a 50km walk soon so every weekend currently is a stupidly long walk.

Well I paid the invoice for the retaining wall in the garden so £1,495 for that…..
