Things to do in Luton and places to eat nearby

👋. Im staying in Luton next friday till Tuesday with my husband. We are heading to Knebworth to eddfest on the Saturday. Anyone who knows Luton or lives there can you please share ideas of things to do and great places to eat? ❤️

Where did you go for your day trip, and what did you think of Luton?

We got back at 12.30 ish. Im so thankful for the lady from Knebworth saying to pre book uber. Was amazing, some walk though 🥵

Nope...still pished. 😬. The houses across the road look nice mind you. Kevin is awful nice too, hes nuts xxx

Iron maiden at Knebworth was fantastic. Honestly? I love it here, I really dont know why there is so much hate. Such lovely people ❤️

I grew up in Luton and left at 18. It wasn’t pleasant in the town centre then, in the 80s But I was so shocked when I went back to the town centre a few years ago for a Coldplay concert at Stockwood Park. So many people on drugs and an awful, violent feel to the place.
I wish there was a solution to its downward spiral, it’s really sad

Funny that, i actually shit myself when the taxi guy stopped so we could get drink to take to the hotel and it was a bunch of (not nice people hanging about) 😬.

I have the misfortune to have to work in Luton, and echo everyone saying to get out.
Stockwood Park would fill a few hours but, as someone suggested, get a bus or train to St Albans.
If you’re English Heritage members Wrest Park is about 8 miles north of Loo-town, and you may find there’s a bus service.

Also, while Whipsnade Zoo a bit spends, Whipsnade Tree Cathedral, just down the road, free and lovely.

They really are. I truly have had a lovely time. The planes are amazing. I can't believe how low they are, can practically touch them 😱. Worst thing about this hotel is the 24hr bar, im going to need a liver transplant when I get home 🤢.

It was a nightmare to get there, ended up getting out the uber and walking from an asda petrol station with a bunch of fans to get there, was a great laugh but some walk. On the way out we had pre booked an uber (thank you very much to the lady on here from knebworth for that heads up). Got back to the hotel about 12.30, the lovely uber guy stopped off for a toilet break for me and I sang my heart out to his radio songs 🤭 bet he was glad to get shot of me. 😬🤣
