If Andy Burnham wants a quick win, he could always send the US an invoice for the use of English Common Law. Why ? Because it's the bestest law in the world. Nowhere else has law like it. SCOTUS just said so ....

@placemats - can't comment on JCS as I've never seen it. But I went to the Hockney exhibition and really loved it. His Normandy frieze is so beautiful and joyful.

Just back from London to see the Marilyn Monroe exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. What magic that woman was and what a waste - dead at 36. Some peonies as tax.

Looking forward to seeing Hockney.

Thanks for the new thread Duncin & all contributors as ever flowers from me my window boxes this time I’m like an over protective parent constantly out fussing over them, usually they either don’t flower or die.

@placemats re Superstar - it’s exhibit A in why I hate Lloyd Webber. Not because it’s bad. Because it’s absolute genius and the fact he can write like that then produces dross like Cats and Aspects Love shows he’s a bloody cynical money chaser and not a real artist. enjoy. I’m hoping to go to the tour despite having seen Superstar many, many times, including with Tim Minchin as Judas (bloody fab).

I'm going to see the Marilyn Monroe exhibition next week. I was going to see it last week but it was too hot to go into town. I did see Pride a couple of weeks ago which was amazing, absolutely brilliant. I hope they extend the run as it's sold out.

Please don’t excommunicate me I really don’t like musicals I can’t really articulate why properly apart from they make me uncomfortable.
I’ve been repeatedly saying Bury in my head I think I pronounce it as berryre in my Saaf East London accent it just sounds all kinds of wrong.

Just nipping in to pay the cat tax in between playing around with filters on my phone.
