Enjoyed a quiet skinny dip at the local pool during the heat

I just had the best evening ever. I went to my local pool and there was no one in the sauna area so I went swimming naked and totally alone. It was over 40°C here today and it was bliss

If you're actually in Germany that won't be odd as everyone else will be naked too.

I went to the sauna area where there are 10 saunas, an inside pool and an outside pool.

Just skinny dip in the sea

It would have been just a blissful with your swimsuit on. You’re lucky no one caught you. That was a really disrespectful thing to do. If I’d stumbled across a naked person in my local pool I’d have been very pissed off. Why did you think that was an ok thing to do?

I wouldn’t be impressed by a naked person in a communal pool. Show some respect and wear a cossie. Skinny dipping is for somewhere private, not a public place. Are you a bit of an exhibitionist? Did you hope to get seen?

Seems really weird that the pool was empty during a heatwave. Most pools are mobbed.

I didn’t break any rules. I would have been told off if I had my costume on in that area. When you step into the sauna area it is costumes off.
Mobile phones, tablets etc banned.
I grew up in the UK but have been abroad for 30 years now.
At first it felt very un-British doing these things but now it’s just part of my life.

My dh swam in the lake on holiday daily naked, he loves it, way too cold for me!

Because it is interesting to read the reactions of different people. Mainly people based in the UK. And also because it was a lovely feeling and it’s probably something I would have never experienced if I had stayed in the UK.

So are you saying that you did this abroad where if you were wearing a suit you’d have been told off? So it’s normal to swim naked? Well great. The responses here are based on the idea that they assumed you were swimming here where swimsuits are expected. You must put your ‘boast’ in context of where is is happening. Context is everything.

My partner and I always swam naked in the sea off our boat. It definitely feels free 😎

why not include in your post that you’re abroad and it’s allowed in the pool as it totally changes the context. In the UK, unless it was a naturist resort, you could get arrested just deciding to skinny dip in a leisure centre/spa/gym pool.

The way you have worded your post is omitting a rather large important piece of information that of course changes people's reaction to your post.

Suggests that you went swimming naked because there was no one else there. That's not the case, you went swimming naked because in that particular pool, you are not allowed to wear swimwear. Totally changes the context of your post

So you just went to you local pool and had a swim as usual.
