LIGHTHEARTED

Ive seen this trend going around on social media, i find MN to be a bit negative at times so wanted to ask what people are grateful for or what makes you feel lucky. Can be anything from shallow to more serious.

I think people would be jealous if they knew I paid off my mortgage at 33.

at this end of my life I appear to be in reasonable health and my daughter is healthy and hopefully happy. Health we take for granted and when it goes long or short term you realise what you had

My main goal in life is just to be healthy and have my family healthy for as long as possible ❤️

It’s 20 degrees in my lounge and I’m thinking of putting my slippers on? 😄

My sons are both happy, in excellent mental health, on good career paths and really quite sensible but fun and loving. I’m very proud and it’s (the only) part of my life that feels sorted.

My daughters are wonderful adults in happy relationships with lovely men and we are very close to them.

My ridiculously fantastic husband, our high income, our healthy children, my fun job … an awful lot to be grateful for.

I’m one week away from an eight week school holiday and I can read at 900 words per minute.

What a lovely thread! I am working on something hugely meaningful at work and it should (hopefully) help to embed care and compassion across the NHS. I feel like I’m making a real difference ❤️

My husband and I are both retired - aged 55 and 56 respectively. Our house is mortgage free. I spend a great deal of my life playing tennis and my friend has just been awarded a 4 night trip to Jersey and she’s taking me. Thankfully my family are all healthy and well.

Intelligent, tall, attractive, fit, healthy, born in the UK, fluent in English is a good hand to be dealt.

ToadRage · 26/06/2026 20:22

My husband, we met at uni and got together early on, the girls i lived with often said they wished they could find a guy like him, it always filled me with pride, that my man was the template for what they wanted in a man. Glad i never had to fight for him though, he only had eyes for me.

MabelMoo23 · 26/06/2026 20:23

That we as a family have the disposable income to book private health appointments such as a private menopause specialist, plus physio for knee problems.

many women are just gaslit with their menopause care and left to it and suffer horrendously. I appreciate not every woman suffers but there have been times I have felt like I can’t carry on anymore and to be able to access care where I properly listened to and not just given bloody antidepressants. To access that care is a privilege and I’m so grateful

Ah I’m the exact same. So grateful for him 🥰
