LIGHTHEARTED

Ive seen this trend going around on social media, i find MN to be a bit negative at times so wanted to ask what people are grateful for or what makes you feel lucky. Can be anything from shallow to more serious.

Oh and I’m laid in bed next to the air con right now 🤣

I have great friends and amazing hair. But most of all, I have a cooler for my chocolates, so that I never have to choose between breaking my teeth when they're straight out of the fridge, or dripping melted chocolate all over my chops. Not even in this weather.

I didn’t even know this existed!

Teenage DD is healthy, happy, has good friends and is doing well at school- that’s enormous and I’m so thankful for it.

Happily married for nearly 30 years.

I love my job and it’s decently paid.

I have a great relationship with my sister, very thankful for that when I see the sibling stress on here about elderly parents.

lightand · 26/06/2026 22:24

Large happy extended family.

Middlemarch123 · 26/06/2026 22:28

That I stepped up and moved a close relative in with me, after he was released after sectioning for psychosis. He’s doing well, but it’s been the hardest six months of my life, but I absolutely couldn’t and will never turn my back on a loved one in need.

That I have three amazing cats, I am proud to be a mad cat lady.

I have a high metabolism and can eat loads and stay healthy.

I have streaky blonde hair that is cut in the current on trend boyfriend bob, wtf that is.😂

Daftypants · 26/06/2026 22:29

My house is now a cool 19/20c inside and I’m wearing a cardigan over my summer dress and had to get socks on as my feet felt cold 🤣

Tooprincipled · 26/06/2026 22:34

I have always been an optimist that sees the positives in life, lives in the moment and finds humour in most situations. I’ve lost my temper twice in my life.

SuitcaseAndSecrets · 26/06/2026 22:35

I was in the hairdressers last week and we were all talking about botox.. one lady asked me where l got mine done because my skin looks amazing and hardly any wrinkles. ( l am 68 and never had botox) she said she was really jealous.. ( l cant raise my eye brows so no frown lines) and I've only drunk water all my life.. so l guess my lovely skin.

SixAndJuliet · 26/06/2026 22:35

Hmm, nothing as amazing as some of these, my life is totally average, hard in some ways but I’m still relatively content so I’ll give it a go.

2 lovely, healthy children.
stable marriage,
not rich but no money worries
nice enough house.
gorgeous dog
healthy body, healthy weight.

There are things that get me down but this thread is a nice reminder of things to be grateful for.

raisinglittlepeople12 · 26/06/2026 22:37

My marriage. We adore each other and are genuinely happy. We also have a cute house with a big garden, we’re healthy and a perfect child (imo lol). We don’t have any money but feel very lucky.

Youspurnme · 26/06/2026 22:38

I have fantastic long legs and a pretty face. Nothing I have done to ‘earn’ these!

Clickrodio · 26/06/2026 22:42

After seeing so many friends go through divorce or admit they aren’t happy in their relationships.

I think people would be jealous that I am in a happy relationship, he’s truly an amazing man, does his fair share of housework, good dad etc. I am so grateful for him.

Duckiewasthefirstniceguy · 26/06/2026 22:43

Good looks, lovely parents and siblings, stellar education, rewarding career, fab husband, and amazing kids. We’re also very financially comfortable.

I have all the things.

Notmycircusnotmyotter · 26/06/2026 22:44

I'm a size 6 through some walking and yoga.

I have really great men in my life, especially my father.

I have wonderful friends.

My cats are dicks though

ladygindiva · 26/06/2026 22:45

I was born into straightforward, loving family and my parents and sibling are all nice and we all get along with literally no drama.

Musicmummy63 · 26/06/2026 22:52

I'm married to a wonderful thoughtful caring man, my 1st love, been married for 39 years and we have 2 lovely healthy happy DS.

Travelfairy · 26/06/2026 22:56

That i can afford to be a SAHM. That we can holiday 5/6 times a year. That my kids are healthy and excelling in their chosen hobbies

basoon · 26/06/2026 22:57

I'm healthy, have an interesting job, am in a happy marriage, and have a beautiful son.

Drivingselfmad · 26/06/2026 22:57

13 weeks holiday a year

Wincher · 26/06/2026 23:04

That I have a decent job earning perfectly normalish money but that my DH earns shedloads (about 5 times what I do)
Own a detached house in London with big garden and there is a bit of breeze through it in this weather
Didn't struggle with fertility and have two happy and healthy children who are doing really well at school

Pretty good going when I think about it!

Multiuniverse · 26/06/2026 23:06

Probably of my fast paced financially free life
