It's too hot for clothes- what are you wearing?

So what do you wear to try and keep cool in this weather? On Tuesday we went out to an evening rugby game so I wore shorts, a vest and flip flops. Yesterday though I didn't go out i again wore shorts and a vest. Not leaving the house today, I couldn't face clothes so after my nice cool shower I just put on clean pyjamas. Worried about tomorrow as we are doing a 5 hour drive up to Scotland.

I'm in shorts and a very thin, cheesecloth-type gypsy top. I like to be dressed in the day.
I really wish I'd had my hair cut recently though....i missed an appointment for complicated reasons and feel like I've got a bearskin on my head 😂

I find clothes are a cooling layer insulating me from the heat, especially outside, so I always have long sleeves and full length trousers but loose and cotton or viscose.

A kaftan. Long and lose but dressed enough to be able to answer the door.

I am home alone so wearing an over sized t shirt and knickers.

I only caved and put a bra on before my first teams meeting this morning. Shorts and t-shirt is fine for me. I get hotter and sweaty if my fat legs and arms are rubbing together.

Zara linen maxi, oversized. Sheets for tonight are in the freezer with nightdress.

I’ll put on another linen dress straight from the washing machine when I get in. Dries on you, most refreshing.

Nothing at the moment. When I re-enter society later, I shall don a thin, short sleeved maxi dress and flip flops

NHS summer uniform of shorts and polo shirt. Im 64 but they'll just have to lump looking at my legs. Im boiling.

Linen trousers that are suprisingly thick and suprisingly hot!

With a sleeveless cotton tunic and flip flops.

Am in the office every day and it feels a bit casual but needs must.

Been at home this week so lightweight pyjama trousers and vest top.

If I had to go out I'd wear a lightweight shirt with 3/4 sleeves and not low at the neck, with trousers.

T shirt and shorts as I went out, I was in crop top and knickers earlier though.
At work it's a thin viscose t shirt and wide leg swishy trousers, seem to be cooler than shorts tbh.

M and S linen dress and walking sandals. The only footwear that isn't rubbing sweat into my feet and hurting.
I've just left work, where I was in thick trousers, a baggy thick shirt, a thick waterproof apron, socks, steel capped shoes, hairnet and hat. Murder.

Thin 3/4 length cotton trousers that are nice and baggy and a cotton teeshirt.

A Hell Bunny full circle dress with a halterneck. It's lovely.

Another M&S linen dress. It's too big as I've lost weight but with only knickers underneath its cool. I did put a bra on this morning to go to the supermarket, heavenly near the chillers.

Long time retired, so I sympathise with those working in hot conditions.

@Butteredtoast55we do have AC so in car should be fine, just can't decide whether to wear my shorts again or wear a dress with which I'd either have to wear leggings or my chubrub shorts, is it hot in Scotland?
@Supersimkin7we have 'hot' water bottles in the freezer and gel pads in the fridge for the night.

Light merino tees. Magic merino is great in v hot weather.

Cotton or linen maxi dresses. I actually find that I get less hot if I'm mostly covered up because then the sun isn't penetrating my flesh directly.

I'm in my birthday suit, but it needs ironing. 😜

A shorts playsuit

Got in the shower an hour ago in my swimsuit and kept it on. So, a wet swimsuit. Going out later, and will stick a cotton dress on and some flipflops and a massive hat. Soon be Christmas 😂

I live alone so I don't wear any clothes when its hot like this. I am wearing socks and flip flops at the moment. An unexpected parcel arrived yesterday and the postie had to wait while I pulled on a kaftan I have handy. Walking around without any clothes is a wonderfully liberating feeling. I have a ring doorbell so I can see who it is. No parcels expected today. I don't wear any clothes in bed either.
