Today is our first proper day here
We are in Mexico
He doesn’t listen to Any sort of advice or seem to have any common sense.
Anyway he started drinking at 9am this morning in the drink up pool.
Whiskey /cocktails and shorts but no water or soft drinks.
He was with a couple, and let me go for lunch alone as he was drinking with them.
We had plans to watch the England match ,he didn’t even come to the room to get his England shirt -just drank with this random couple.
I went to meet him at 3pm and it’s now just after 4 and he can’t stand ,being sick ,dizzy and still won’t drink water .
I have put him into bed
In going out to the beach and grab some Food soon I think.
Im honestly so sad and feel really alone
Am I being ott or would you be sad too ?

I’m not sure on MN but if you google “Mumsnet inkyspells” the threads should come up Smile

Crikey Moses - thanks for that Smittens - the Google search is better than the MN one......a bit scary really....

Well that’s if it’s real.

mathanxiety · 29/06/2026 19:10

I wouldn't be sad. I'd be hopping mad, and considering divorce.

Oh, no, I meant it's scary that Google's search is better than MN's.

I may be wrong and I may be being unkind but I'm afraid I don't believe OP's threads/posts to be factual.

I feel that way about a full 50% of the interesting threads I see on MN these days.

Some of them hold together better than others though 😉

I do actually believe this poster is real though. She's very consistent over a period of time and her name doesn't change. She's not one of those AI characters where every post has a different name.

Sadly I think she just has a complete arsehole of a partner who she doesn't have the gumption to leave, because she'd rather cling onto a useless, selfish man than have no-one. So she just comes on here every now and then to vent and whinge about whatever shitty stunt he's pulled this week.

She doesn't really want to LTB, or to listen to any of the advice given, hence why she doesn't engage much after she's vented/dumped. I've seen many like her on here over the years.

Sadly you could be absolutely right and yes, there have been plenty of others who have done multiple posts over the years and not listened to the advice given. This one is a little unusual in that she doesn’t usually engage much after the initial post but you’re right, that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s not genuine.

  1. Is this a common occurrence at home?
  2. does he have stress - job, health? Is he releasing stress that maybe he needs to deal with differently.
  3. have you told him how it’s making you feel?

OP has now started another thread complaining that her 'DH' walks around taking to people and not to her. Such a massive waste of everyone's time.

Reminds me of a favourite saying from one of my old Teachers “you’re wasting your own time”. I think in this case everyone who replies is wasting their time but it’s the OP who is really frittering her life away.

MrsPapillon · 01/07/2026 09:24

The poor girl is obviously bored shitless and needs some entertainment while her DH/DP is ignoring her for the duration of her honeymoon/holiday. What better way than to keep starting threads?

JFDIYOLO · 01/07/2026 15:17

Wasting your time, people. Nothing to see here.

She has started yet another thread about this useless man and not returned to that either.

And this is your HONEYMOON. Seriously OP, come on now. You know you've made a mistake, surely.
