Yes, I think political philosophy as a concept is pretty far outside his mental reach.

That was my thinking too. Balogun didn't ask for this. Another worry for me is that Trump (and some of his white-napkin-headed chums) can use the poor guy to demonstrate an element of "we're not racists because Balogun". I sincerely hope not.

Trump has totally bolloxed all the goodwill this competition has created for USA. The venues have been exceptional, the locals v welcoming to fans (even becoming honorary Scots and Dutch supporters). FIFA has not had a great reputation before this and he's made it worse. I mean how bad are things when Sepp Blatter is criticising you?!

We have season tickets to a premiere league club (not that I go often), but to be fair, it's pretty normal fan behaviour here too. I think if your team is looking pathetic and you've got more than a walk home, it looks pretty enticing to beat the crowds leaving the stadium and on the road or public transport.
