He'll die before she gets that money.

So the message to the whole world is beware of doing business in the US. Their courts can't protect you.

Not really sure how that helps the average American.

Not sure about death duties and wills/probate in the US, but in the UK all debts must be paid first before the estate is settled and monies released, even when a spouse remains.

Interesting point. So as long as she outlives him, she should get the money?

His revolting descendents will fight tooth and nail to prevent it, I expect.

I don't suppose it does. Nothing to do with Trump ever helps the average American.

In the UK the bulk of the estate goes to the remaining spouse. When my father died he left all of his children some money and my mum approved it. He had one small outstanding debt, a subscription to a magazine, which was easily paid.

In the UK, once a court has made an award, the plaintiff has various mechanisms to enforce it. Garnishee orders and seizing assets spring to mind.

However, we must remember that Trump is no longer subject to US law. Combination of his immunity and ability to pardon himself, and he really is untouchable. Somewhere in heaven, there is a really really really pissed off Charles Stuart looking down on all this.

The Great American State Fair... with Confederate flags.

A nothing burger really, but is it trolling or some disgruntled person.

"The controversy unfolded at the North Carolina exhibit on the National Mall, where visitors were exploring displays representing states from across the country as part of the multi-day America 250 celebration.

Washington correspondent Reuben Jones of Spectrum News posted a video from inside the exhibit after noticing something unexpected.
“I stopped by the North Carolina booth at the ‘Great American State Fair’ on the National Mall today,” Jones wrote on X.

He explained that North Carolina itself had declined to participate in the event because of the cost, leaving the exhibit to be organized by private groups rather than the state government.

As Jones recorded the display, his camera captured television screens showing multiple images that included the Confederate flag."

The bit I bolded got me attention. If a State cant afford to send people to sit in a tiny plywood booth, how much is he bloody charging them ?

The grift never stops.

NY Times Bombshell Details How Trump’s Sons Stand to Gain From $1.6B Kazakhstan Mining Deal

"According to the lengthy Times report, published Sunday, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Trump personally helped secure Kazakhstan’s agreement to grant mining rights to a U.S.-backed company, Kaz Resources.
The administration also approved preliminary applications for up to $1.6 billion in federal financing for the project, though the funding still requires additional approvals.
Within weeks of those negotiations, investors linked to Dominari Securities, a financial firm partly owned by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, acquired a 20% stake in a corporate entity connected to the Kazakhstan venture.
Around the same time, Cantor Fitzgerald, controlled by the Lutnick family and overseen by Howard Lutnick’s sons Brandon and Kyle, helped raise $210 million for a related company involved in the transaction.
The agreement was signed on November 6, six days after the investment involving the Trump-linked entity and its partners, according to The Times.
The Times reported that at least 14 companies with financial ties to either the Trump family, the Lutnick family or both are actively working with the federal government on critical minerals projects, including the Kazakhstan venture.
Collectively, those projects have received or are being considered for more than $8.9 billion in federal support."

Wow.

And SCOTUS has refused to overturn the E Jean Carol verdict.

The $5 million sex assault one. The $83 million one is separate.

Daily Beast I think. Seems the same.

TBH, I did not link it because there was no time on the photos. They might have been taken at 7am sort of thing. There was another article linked with lots of photos, but I did feel a bias. So hey.

I just liked that photo and nicked it.

In fact, here is the linked one. Love the photo of the guy on the mobility scooter. And what is going on with the grass ?

“I wish we were able to have an even larger area, which we will be able to do on July 4th when I’ll be speaking again. The airplane flyovers and music were fantastic. Everybody stayed right until the end of my Speech because they loved hearing about a truly successful America.”

And what is going on with the grass ?

Isn't that where there was the giant 86 47?

Thanks for the golf summary @RedTagAlan
I had seen a few reports about the D.C. municipal course earlier this year and wondered what was happening. I seem to recall that the manmade peninsula the course is built on included a public path and a grove of cherry trees gifted by Japan in early 1900s but I guess we can now assume that public access will be severely curtailed unless you're coughing up $$.
Also space is extremely limited because it's a peninsula so where are all the grifting corporate hospitality, concessions and other hoo-hah that's needed going to fit if they have major championships there?

This golf course played an important historical role in the racial desegregation of golf (inasmuch as that exists), and the desegregation of public recreational facilities. Of course he wants to dismantle the legacy.

😂

No golfers here, but when we lived in DC, I was involved with an organisation that provided access to recreational/sporting opportunities to children, so learned a bit about it then. That was as much golf knowledge as I can handle.

DuncinToffee · 29/06/2026 17:36

In a separate case, the justices ruled that Trump can fire leaders of independent agencies or commissions, ending 90 years of court precedent that curbs executive power.

That case centered on Rebecca Slaughter, whom Trump fired as Federal Trade Commission member in March last year over email, telling her that keeping her as a commissioner would be “inconsistent with [the] administration’s priorities”.

Perhaps if he stopped fighting true proven allegations the world would see the Trump Epstein files in full.

Decades old rape and sexual assault doesn't make the impact any less. It just means the victims have to wait longer, and work harder for justice.

His lawyers trying to minimise this is disgusting and I hope a complaint is raised.

I'm sure Donnie could be trained with the right taser/cattle prod.
Even if he couldn't be trained still use the above just for the hell of it.
