Everyone is talking about Trump’s mock up arch at the Great American State Fair, so I filmed it from top to bottom and front to back for everyone who can’t see it in person.

Who remembers Spinal Tap ?

His addled brain seems to think that primarily he's a bigly developer and the presidency is just a side hustle.

Thanks for that laugh, @Spandauer - love that description!

If you mean browser notifications, then (depending on platform and browser for specifics) you need to adjust the site settings for "notifications".

This is a task which "AI" isn't so bad - saves me typeing 😀

If you're getting YouTube pop-up notifications in your browser, you can disable them either in YouTube itself or in the browser's site permissions. (Google Help)
Option 1: Turn off YouTube notifications
Open YouTube.

  1. Click your profile picture → SettingsNotifications.
  2. Turn off the notification types you don't want, or disable all notifications. (Google Help)

Option 2: Block browser notifications from YouTube
Google Chrome

  1. Click the three dots (⋮) → Settings.
  2. Go to Privacy and securitySite settingsNotifications.
  3. Find youtube.com under allowed sites and remove or block it. (Google Help)

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open SettingsCookies and site permissionsNotifications.
  2. Find youtube.com and set it to Block. (Reddit)

Firefox

  1. Open SettingsPrivacy & Security.
  2. Under Permissions, click Notifications → Settings.
  3. Locate YouTube and change it to Block.

Quick method
While on YouTube, click the padlock/site information icon next to the address bar and change Notifications to Block. (Reddit)
If you tell me which browser you're using (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and whether you're on Windows, Mac, Android, or iPhone, I can give exact steps for your device.

Edited

Thanks Jane. Much appreciated 😊

Is there anything he doesn't turn to dust?

Hopefully himself in the not to distant future.⚰️🪦

The 'presidency side hustle' descriptor is 🎯
As descriptions and definitions for Trump become more accurate, the sadder I feel for the American people, because of what it reveals.

That ferris wheel in the background: does it actually go round? And does anyone dare use it? because if it is of the quality that arch is, there are going to be fatalities.

It works. But I just saw a Metro article that said there was a power cut and it stuck.

"Power outages impacted some of the fair’s offerings, resulting in melted ice cream and disruption to the 110-foot-tall Ferris wheel.
Organisers Freedom 250 acknowledged there had been some ‘power hiccups’."

Trump says great state fair 'packed to brim' despite almost no one showing up

The event has been plagued with issues.

Nothing would induce me to set foot in the thing.

Does this fair cost money to get into, so that actual punters are paying for it twice, once through their taxes and once through their ticket?

Gosh - I always seem to get shitty workmen doing shitty work - but at least it’s not just me then!

Less footfall than American Adventure and they shut that.

I wouldn’t be going on anything there after seeing that arch - what an absolute travesty of a celebration of the USA - only the orange guy could have made it so bad. Shane for those in the US though - those that aren’t MAGAnuts anyhow.

There was something funny about who is paying for it. Congress released $250 mill I think for the 250th, but apparently Trump diverted half of that to his own 250th fund, that has a similar name.

So fed funded I suppose. With what was left. Something like that.

But there is a cow named Melania that is getting attention.

I am trying to read up on it now, but most sites blocked for me.

What seems to be truly amazing is that the photos that look like they were taken when it was closed, were not. Trump said 45k turned up for his half hour opening ramble/rant, but multiple news agencies said about 1000. Not 1000k.... 1000 individuals. And many of them wandered off during his speech

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 29/06/2026 13:42

The calf called Melania is just so much blonder than the first lady is!

Didn't the US once buy electricity from, Canada ?

Still do. If the Canadians stopped selling it to them, some of the states (Michigan, Maine, Vermont come to mind) would be in a fair amount of trouble. But other bits of America export quite a bit back, so they could hang on to that. sell it to the states Canada sells to at present, and come out even, I suppose.

27.2 terawatt hours in 2024 apparently

Mich generated 124.2 TW Hours

Vermont generated 2.2 TW Hours

Maine generated 14.6 TW Hours.

So Canada supplied more than Maine and Vermont made.

No AI used for that. Just find this stuff interesting. And the more random stuff I look up, the better I find out what is blocked.

Donald Trump's appeal to overturn a $5m verdict finding him liable for sexually abusing and defaming a magazine columnist has been declined by the US Supreme Court.
Justices refused to hear the president's appeal against a 2023 jury verdict in favour of E. Jean Carroll, which Trump had argued was the result of an unfair trial.

Not sure about death duties and wills/probate in the US, but in the UK all debts must be paid first before the estate is settled and monies released, even when a spouse remains.
