Feeling nostalgic I decided to write a list of my favourite TV programmes from my childhood. I'm sure I've missed loads of the ones I used to watch. But here's what I remember, in case anyone's interested. 😊

In no particular order.

Champion the Wonder Horse
Flipper
Casey Jones
Daktari
Blue Peter
Crackerjack
Vision On
Ask the Family
Top of the Pops
Top of the Form
Jukebox Jury
Robinson Crusoe
The Flashing Blade
The White Horses
Belle and Sébastien
Follyfoot
The Little House on the Prairie
Top Cat
Scooby Doo

@Hotafternoon

Omg! Here it is! So, only one series, but a series of 20 episodes. I was 8 years old at the time and didn't always understand what it was about! 😂

I loved Robinson Crusoe - that theme tune...
Blue Peter
Jackanory
Play School and Play Away
Camberwick Green
Plus loads more

We were sitting round chatting yesterday evening and I happened to mention Robinson Crusoe.

"Who?" said DD. One of the most famous literary works of all time, and she's never heard of him. How did she get to 27 and not know the name of Robinson Crusoe?

I loved the Double Deckers, yes. I never watched The Tomorrow People though. Maybe it was on ITV. My family mainly watched BBC programmes.
I adored Alias Smith and Jones. Pete Duel was my pin-up and I was so sad when he died.

Alias Smith and Jones was shown on BBC2 and our black and white TV could only pick up BBC1 and ITV, so I couldn’t see it. It was something that my friends would talk about (their families all had colour tellies that could show BBC2). By the time we acquired a TV that was able to receive BBC2, Pete Duel had died and had been replaced by Roger Davis. I loved the show but I don’t think I’ve ever seen an episode of it from its Pete Duel years.
