Batman with Adam West - so cheesy but so good!

Oh yes! As a child I used to take Batman very seriously! 😂

As a teenager I loved it all over again when I realised it was meant to be funny! I loved the way that Batman always had exactly the right thing for every occasion concealed in his utility belt! 😂 🤣

You're so right! I hadn't thought about that, but yes, we were all watching the same (with somewhat limited choices) programmes and used to talk about with our friends at school the next day.
Children today don't have that connection and in the future they won't have the same opportunity for nostalgia as we currently have.

R00tat00tt00t · 15/06/2026 22:36

I watched A LOT of TV as a kid and as @Cobrakainerd said, many fond memories and shared experience with friends old & new who grew up around the same time.
I have so many “favourites” it’s hard to narrow down, many have been mentioned already but might have a few others to add. My favourites were always the BBC teatime dramas, I’m sad for my kids that they don’t really have anything like those. Also partial to some badly dubbed cartoons or European dramas 😂
Saturday mornings were spent glued to the TV with tea + toast.
We also watched a lot of TV together as a family.
I’ll post my list below as lost my last one and can’t face another long rewrite.
