It is on the front page of the BBC news website, the picture is a screenshot from the video and without clicking into it It says 'brutal' knife attack and that the attacker is Somali. It's obviously horrific, that goes without saying, but it's also being covered in the media.

My phone autocorrects his name to Novak. I assume hers is the same.

And if only there were a way around autocorrect.

And followed their wishes I think you meant.

But do you not think it completely abhorrent that he only meets with the families of vicitms of highly publicised crimes of minorities if they are saying and doing the “right things”?

Do you not question why he didn’t bother meeting Rhiannon Whyte’s family?

What do you think he thinks of them? Do you not think that reflective of how he sees all his lower class white constituents who are angry about the impact illegal immigration has on their communities?

Although, it won't be long until the 'mental health' card's played.

To be honest, it's hardly something someone of sound mind wants to do.

In some places it’s not that rare.

I can be confident the people at tonight’s protests (must likely riots) have never taken part in anything related to the woman killed by local men

So that makes it OK then! Love how so many people are tying themselves in knots to find excuses for a murderer.

Happyjoe · 09/06/2026 12:29

AlternateLook · 09/06/2026 12:26

Do you realise it's hard to radicalise someone with a sound mind?

No excuse being made? Just pointing out the hypocrisy.

That’s not true. Crimes along these lines are more common place elsewhere.

Not for years, no.

Stephen's own parents had to lead a prosecution in the end.
The police did nothing.

Which is why we do need platforms that allow us to freely share information due to state cover ups.

Even if sometimes the information doesn’t suit our world narrative and can be considered contentious.

JudgeJ · 09/06/2026 12:32

AlternateLook · 09/06/2026 12:26

A radicalised, fundamentalist fanatic would.

I don't give a damn about his 'mental health' or any of the other fashionable excuses, he's a murderer and the public needs to be protected, my rights trump those of a murderer.

TheKittenswithMittens · 09/06/2026 12:33

Christians are regularly beheaded in Somalia by extrremists.

MusicMakesItAllBetter · 09/06/2026 09:42

I disnt think of that.
But you do get them dont you, people who just record crimes especially violent attacks.

I would hope if a crime was being committed against me, that I would have it on film as evidence. Some people cannot intervene to help because of their lack of physical ability. Or it would be very dangerous to do so.

Obviously it would be great to have someone capable to intervene and stop the perpetrator. Sometimes, even if able, I think some people might be reluctant to do that, as far from being hailed, they may end up before the beak themselves.

A reminder that Starmer had to be directed by the commons to make a statement on Henry Nowak in Parliament after failing to do so for several days.

If someone came up to me and tried to radicalise me into cutting someone's head off they'd get a swift kick in the bollocks. But am of sound mind.

A lot LOT of these people are mentally ill, loners, easy pickings for people who want to radicalise others and unfortunately the internet is making it worse. There is an undeniable link.

Ginnyweasleyswand · 09/06/2026 12:35

It seems to me that Starmer has gained power and wealth through the law and application of it in certain ways (after all, rape is illegal in law, but in reality is basically legal because barely prosecuted and if prosecuted often not really punished as so clearly shown in the recent court case). In ways that prioritises the human rights of violent criminals over the human rights of the rest of the population and particularly women and girls.

He's benefited hugely. He's got rich. The majority - thank goodness - want a return to British values, which means not placing the 'human rights' of violent criminals over the rest of us.

When they are illegal immigrants it should be easy - just deport them. Don't give them £500 of taxpayers money so their victim feels like he's been paid for sexually assaulting her. Way to go to attract more paedophiles,

Then we have the problem of violent male criminals here - well, they need longer prison sentences which will be easier if we're deporting the criminals in our jails that can be deported.

What the government are doing is a choice.

So many people falling over themselves to use this horrific story to talk about how terrible white British right-wing men are, how above them they are, how educated and superior they are, and how anyone who disagrees is thick.

All true

Sure and where do you live? I’m guessing the UK not a country where it’s more common place.

I don’t think that’s the case.
If you’re raised in a culture which indoctrinates you to believe that people outside that culture are worthless and you get a better seat in heaven if you irradiate them, then mental health doesn’t really come into it.

EasternStandard · 09/06/2026 12:38

The BBC are a joke. Completely minimising a brutal attack.

The bbc says quoting someone saying once footage is seen it cannot be unseen. I for one don’t want to view such an horrific attack.

I will not pay Elon musk any money by going on Twitter, he is trying his hardest to stir up unrest.

hope all injured recover thoughts are with them & their families & anyone traumatised by seeing this attack.

I bet. You’re doing that thing again where you realise what you’ve said doesn’t stack up.
