My mood has dropped spectacularly, my cup is empty. I am tearful, irritable. I would love to watch something that is light, funny, uplifting, anything really. Say I am drawn to misery and doom which doesnt help I dont think.

Please suggest something.

The rabbit proof fence.

Remarkably Bright Creatures is very good but made my boyfriend cry so I would be cautious with that one.

I would recommend The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, I found it very uplifting. For something nostalgic, I like My Family. The disagreements are always fairly trivial and the parents clearly love each other, are often chatting in bed at the end. I find comedies where the people don’t like each other to be quite depressing. Gavin and Stacey is also good (except for Pete and Dawn!), I love Gav’s parents

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel always makes me feel good.

Schitts Creek - uplifting and funny.

I just watched Company Retreat on Amazon. It’s a mockumentary where one guy doesn’t realise it’s not real. Really well done and very funny.

It’s actually a second series, the first one was called Jury Duty which I watched last year but don’t remember much about, but it has James Marsden in, so worth a watch!

The Assembly. Preferably the first one with Martin Sheen.

Episodes of the Golden Girls cheer me up.

For other funny things - Man Down with Greg Davies, Fleabag, Catastrophe, Rain dogs (though also serious).

I have finished The Other Bennet Sister and thoroughly enjoyed it, so thank you all for that suggestion.

I just went to Netflulix and started watching the Rachel Nickell documemtary 😭 thankfully realised that it would not be a good watch for me so folowed @HappiestSleeping suggestion to Holiday in the Wild. Hopefully a happier watch.
