It's 10 degrees Celsius, and I have had to put my heating on!

It's JUNE!

A couple of weeks ago I had the fan on when I was in the house, and I was getting a suntan walking around Llandudno!

I'm sooooo cold!

Anyone else had to put the heating on?!

Not the heating but it is cold and miserable. Very big contrast to last Saturday when we were out in the garden till midnight in the warmth

It’s all those evil mumsnetters moaning about the heatwave. God (in whom most mumsnetters dismiss as their evil indoctrinating MIL’s “imaginary friend”) has decided to give the people what they want, and killed all the sun fairies. Every time someone moans about the heat, a sun fairy dies. Didn’t you know?

I’m lying in bed with a cup of tea and a cat and the electric blanket on - “feels like eight” here according to the weather app.

@Judystilldreamsofhorses yes I’m still in bed with a cup of tea! Rather be in the garden so making the most of what we have and enjoying a lie in instead

We put the electric blanket away in the loft 2-3 weeks ago when the summer finally arrived! Ha ha ha what fools we are. The Universe laughs at our assumption that summer is here to stay (for 3 months or so!) 😆

Don’t worry El Niño is coming….although I suspect for us that will result in downpours rather than balmy weather. We never benefit from these weather patterns!

It’s shite, our heating came on this morning.

Bring back the heat, it was ideal.

I put our heated throws away this week that we use on the sofas. I may have to dig them out again.
Must admit I hate the heat so this suits me perfectly 😆

I nearly gave in and put the heating on yesterday but I didn't. In the best Mumsnet tradition I just put another layer on.😄

It's a great relief to have had a good night sleep and to be able to open the curtains and not hide from the beating sun.
The grass will be glad to have some water too.

Its been non stop rain for hours. I'm cold but just put another layer on instead of the heating 🤣🤣 i look like the Michelin woman 🤣🤣🤣 currently wearing top, jumper, body warmer and thick socks 🤣🤣🤣

I haven’t put the heating on, but I sat under a blanket last night, and put the winter duvet back on the bed. I’m curled under it now, drinking tea and reading a book faffing about on my phone

It's been a bit shite for almost a week really. DH and I went to a seaside resort mid week to see a relative of his (and stayed overnight,) and it was SO windy and chilly. We could barely take any decent photos as the camera (and our phones) were wobbling about because of the wind. Also, so much sand in our face. Very sharp when it hits you in the eyes! 😱

My heating is currently set at 19° as I forgot to adjust it in the warmer weather. I noticed that it’s been coming on in the mornings for the past few days. This thread has reminded me to go and lower it as I didn’t think the house was cold enough to need an early morning blast.

Feeling very warm under my electric blanket on the sofa right now! And smug that I don’t ever put them away 😂
went to a friends last night and she has a lovely little lodge at the end of her garden, we were in it and she had lit the log burner in there. We needed it too.

I blame all the people moaning about the nice weather! They have jinxed us all 😂
