What's the most attractive thing a man has done unintentionally?

Can be your DH/DP/random man. I'm single, so my instances will be of a random man.

When I was at work recently, a man who works there, who is really chatty with me, asked me how my birthday was and idk why but it was such a turn on. Literally no-one else remembered, and I don't expect them to as I don't make a fuss of it, so the fact he remembered it was just really attractive. The bar is in hell guys, pray for me.

Another time was a few months ago; we had a contractor come in to work to fix the lift. We let on and asked how each other is etc, I mentioned being annoyed as I hadn't been able to take a break yet after 6 hours work, so he said go for your break and if anyone says anything he will sort them out. Already a turn on. I go for my break, come back and he is arguing with my manager that I should have had a break by now because of working so long etc. I think I may keep breaking the lift in hopes that he comes back.

Making this thread as I've been on a lot of threads today that ended up being really negative and want a shred of positivity on my Friday night - so, what is the most unintentionally attractive thing that a man has done that you found attractive?

Reading all of these makes me realise what a shitty boyfriend/ex husband I had. NEVER ever did one nice thing for anyone except himself.
loving this thread tho ❤️

I'm in the same boat lol it's really sad and hard to realise in a way, quite how different it is for everybody else. I'm glad that it is and hope that I can find the same some day. I love it too lol

Not sure if it was my hormones but a colleague I'd never found attractive had his top button on his shirt undone and I could see some tanned chest and chest hair. I struggled to focus on his face. Maybe that's how men feel when they see cleavage at work.

Ooo Ooo Ooo just remembered another one. When I was a young teen. My neighbours cat gave birth to her kittens outside underneath a rose bush in the middle of a storm. And my friends slightly older brother held an umbrella over her the whole time. So ‘uncool’ but my heart absolutely melted

I love that, how completely adorable. My heart has also melted

Well definitely get your children into if you have any OP, DD did some at school then asked to join a club, it's brilliant watching teenage girls enjoying doing something physical and dirty, they wear their bruises with pride alongside the typical mini skirts and daisy dukes.

I'm tall not massive amount 5ft8 and it's the only place where most of the men tower over me which is quite nice.

I have 2, but they're infants. Though I'm sure they'd both make brilliant rugby players haha. It does look like a great sport.

I'm 5'1 and bruise like a banana so I would probably die and as such will give it a miss lmao I'll just stick to watching them play 😏

Ok, remembered one from back when I had those kind of feelings (I knew it was the end of my sex drive when cute young shirtless men in a film made me think "they'll catch their death of cold and should put a jumper on"). Anyway, I was working in the US and my supermarket bagged your groceries for you. My favourite bagger was this guy who was really tall and broad and handsome. As I went in regularly, they knew me, and he would carry my groceries to my car for me and put them in the car. He then would hold my door while I got in, and then close it after me. He always pressed the lock button down as he closed it, "so you will be nice and safe on the way home".

Twisterlollies · 06/06/2026 22:30

Has anyone seen Legends (the Steve Coogan drama on Netflix)? Guy is so hot 😭 I loved the scene where he walked up to the handgun and pressed his forehead to it to distract the other bloke. I must’ve looked really gormless when I was watching that bit

Majesticalling · 06/06/2026 22:37

7 months pregnant on a packed, baking hot train. No one seems to notice the sweaty, enormous pregnant lady swaying like a weeble-wobble. Cue annoyed gent (also standing) shouting at the entire carriage, "is ANYONE going to stand for this heavily pregnant woman?!?!?".

Honestly, it was the Centralline equivalent of parting the Red sea with a hot, properly cross Moses - Metro in one hand and back pack in the other. Swoon.

At our local.shops today, Dad bought his DD a sausage roll from.the bakery, then told her she had to do the sausage roll dance while she was eating it, he was joining in and they were both stood dancing and laughing together, it was so cute

My DP of 18 months turned to me the other day and said ‘one day I will build you the personalised shoe and coat and sports storage of your dreams’ as I was huffing and puffing about the chaos in the under stairs cupboard.

I could have married him on the spot.

Omg I just DIED. Marry this man

Titsywoo · 06/06/2026 22:52

I find it very sexy when DH does manual labour. He recently did some work on a TV show (not his normal job just helping a friend) and when I went to meet him he was wearing utility type trousers and a tool belt, I was very flustered😛

Catullus5 · 06/06/2026 23:00

Lol, most of these are ordinary things, probably just done by cute men- isn't that right OP?😀

Stop it you have to be living inside of a romance novel this is too good to be true!! I would have jumped him there and then tbh. Why did you not work out?? He sounds like a god im ngl

All true. He dropped a few more casual heartstoppers over the time we were together, but the book one was the bar that I measured against for ages!

It didn't work out for us in the end - bad timing and a few curve balls - but we are still vaguely in touch, and I occasionally recall the 18 months we were together, with a quiet smile.

Hmm

Do you know what, I was with dd swimming and a man was with his ds

He was apologetic as his ds was jumping, but i laughed as my dd loves to jump

Anyway - he stepped into the pool from the side. Like, its a kids pool so maybe a meter deep, but he just casually stepped in it. I have to sit on the side and then slide in for reference

I was like, omg you are so bloody hot 😋

I think he noticed me eyeing him, so I got back to dd and havent seen him since. But i still think of him sometimes. Getting a little tired of single life 😄😄

Genuinely picturing a man goose stepping into the pool. Please paint a different image 😂!

Dinosaurhearmeroar · 07/06/2026 00:09

Has anyone mentioned when a guy parallel parks and puts their left arm round the headrest of your seat? Oof.

canonlydoblue · 07/06/2026 00:18

When he gets home from work and the first thing he does is take over the cooking from me, tells me to sit down and makes me a cuppa.

Also, when he holds my hand and his wedding ring presses against my fingers. After 16 years I still get butterflies knowing hes mine.

Carried me up Steep Hill in Lincoln on the way home from a night out because my shoes were hurting my feet (been married 23 years)

That is one mean hill and one awesome man. I know it’s called Steep hill but that really doesn’t do the hill justice. Vertical hill would be a better description!

PeopleThatYouThoughtYouKnew · 07/06/2026 00:58

I tripped whilst in 6th form and hurt my foot a lot (didn’t know at the time it was broken, just thought I was being a bit dramatic/
embarrassed) hottie number 1 gave
me a pair of his spare (clean) large socks so I could change out of my footwear (he did sports science so always had spares on him- not a weirdo hehe, but then he had to go to his next class). His pal Hottie number 2 took over and helped me put the socks on (felt like Cinderella) and then escorted me to the waiting taxi the 6th form had arranged to get me checked out at hospital. I felt like a bloomin princess even though 2 people had just grappled with my swollen badly self tanned broken foot hehe. 😝

GreenAcre100 · 07/06/2026 02:22

My husband paid for some repairs for the elderly neighbour (over 90 years old), with no charge to her. He organised the trade to come in and supervised the whole thing. He also has mowed her lawn and tidied her yard.

When our first DC was born prematurely at 31 weeks it was very scary. Shortly after he came home from scbu I haemorrhaged badly in DH new car. Although he loves his cars and is very particular about keeping them clean, he didn’t fuss at all but called the GP out who sent me straight into hospital for an emergency D&C.
DH had to look after this tiny baby (just 4lb) he had absolutely no previous experience of babies or children.
I was a little concerned how he would get on (no family nearby).
When he arrived at the hospital the next morning I saw all the nurses swoon. DS had been bathed, fed and was dressed in a lovely outfit.

That was 30 years ago.

He is also very practical & can mend anything. He’s rebuilt cars and will take a saucepan with a wobbly handle and fix it without me saying anything.

When the DC had toys that had broken they would leave them on the bench in the garage and they would appear back in their room fully working again. He can turn his hand to anything (😜).

I find practical skills in men very attractive. When we first started dating (late 1980s) he gave me a video recorder and when it went wrong he talked me through how to fix it over the phone. He told me later that the fact that I could do it was a ’clincher’ 😂
I did used to do my own car maintenance (and my dad’s!).

sashh · 07/06/2026 06:47

I use either a wheelchair or a mobility scooter. This means the driver has to put the ramp out. The other day the bus driver asked me which stop I was going to get off. Such a little but thoughtful thing.

ComfyKnickers · 07/06/2026 06:55

When we first started dating he went to a family christening. They had cake pops, and he brought me one back wrapped up in a napkin.

❤️

My DP always jumps in to help people carry buggys and suitcases up and down tube or other staircases. Once in Venice, he carried a buggy across a large bridge made up entirely of staircases.

I hope the whole train stood up after that, it sounded truly majestic lol what a gent, we love em!
