I am not normally saddened by the death of celebrities but seeing this news headline surprised me by how sad it made me. Anthony Head as Giles in Buffy was such a presence in my late teens and early twenties. Really feel for his two daughters, given that their mum also died a just a few months ago.

This is very sad news, his long term partner had recently died also who he must have still been in deep grief for. I loved Buffy back in the day and he was brilliant in it.

He had a real calming quality about him. I didn't realise he was 72, probably because he is forever Giles and the Gold Blend man to me.
