Cheddar cheese just tastes better to me if you grate it first and then eat it in little squished up balls of grated cheese 🤣

What else tastes better when you change its shape but don’t do anything else to it?

Sandwiches are better cut into small triangles

Triangle sandwiches are better than squares or rectangles.

Agree! I also think that plain ham sandwiches (on white bread!) tastes better if you squash them first 🤣

Carrot batons taste better than round slices.

Carrots in sticks/batons rather than rounds. Chocolate in any shape as long as it’s large.

Original Kit Kat either 2 fingers or 4 = snack heaven.

But Kit Kat chunky absolutely nope, it’s all wrong

I love a Kit Kat chunky but I do think that a 4 stick Kit Kat is better than a 2! 🤣

toasties need to be triangles

Cheese tastes best in thin slivers - although this doesn’t work for soft or crumbly cheese obviously

Salami is better in chunky slices not those thin efforts in packets

Chunky chocolate is better than thin chocolate, unless it’s mint chocolate or orange chocolate as these need to be thin

Ridged crisps taste better than flat ones

Oranges taste better cut up into wedges than peeled

Everything tastes better if someone else has prepared it !

I don't know which is better but carrot sticks taste vastly different to carrot rounds (cooked).

Drink rather than food - needs to be in the correct glass. For example Prosecco in a wine glass doesn’t taste as good!

Big crisps taste better than small ones.

Oh yes and the best crisps of all are the ones that have got folded during the cooking process

Yes! If they've been wrapped in foil in your bag all morning, a bit squashed and warm, just in time for lunch.

Easter egg absolutely!! But ice cream always taste better from the ice cream van how ever it’s served!

And fish n chips are better the seas side

Or rose in a chunky wine glass - thin stem tastes much better!

Some of these are for genuine reasons though.

e.g. grated carrot is sweeter and stronger flavoured than batons, which in turn are sweeter and stronger tasting than rounds. This is because the surface area in each case is larger in relation to the mass of carrot consumed. The freshly cut surface releases sugar and aromatic compounds.

e. g. Easter egg chocolate tased better than the equivalent bar because it has to be tempered for longer to hold the Easter egg shape, and tempering improves texture which (in chocolate) improves flavour.
