What are you doing in this heat?

I went to the beach first thing for a swim, then took the dog for a walk. I then went round to a friend's for coffee.

It's now far too hot for me to be outside so I'm lying on the sofa watching Erin Brokavitch. DH is due home in a couple of hours, and hopefully it will be cooler then. I might go down to the beach for another swim, and maybe we'll have a BBQ for dinner.

It's too hot to do much this afternoon. What are you all doing?

I love love love the heat.

I currently am wasting my day by MNetting, inside. I think I'll go for a walk to our local park and beach.

Enjoying it, like the millions of people who fly off to the sun every year on holiday.

I planted some flowers in tubs in the garden earlier. Had to go to b and q and it was 28.5 degrees c in the car at 10.30. DH took DD shopping in town so I’ve been reading on the sofa with the patio door open.

Enjoying looking out at the sunsoaked garden from the relative coolness of a north facing room. I'm not going to move much but will have a G&T on the patio around 5pm.

Two lots of washing, a pile of ironing, watered some plants, mopped the kitchen floor and a walk.DH has gone into Manchester to watch City’s FA cup parade, I decided to stay in the garden shade with my feet up, a fan of coke and a tub of ice cream.

One lot of washing, cleaned the bathrooms and hoovered and dusted upstairs and downstairs. Went to line dancing, which was warm, been shopping for something easy for dinner. Will probably collapse in a heap with water and iPad.

Gardening, a walk meeting friends and enjoying the warmth and sun.

Half way though a 13 hr shift in thick sweaty uniform 🥵

I've done multiple loads of washing. All dried and put away. Went into town to return some bits. Just had lunch and I'm now lying in my hammock in the garden. Despite it being North facing, we get loads of sun for most of the day. Later going to the pub with DH.

Got up early because was too hot in bed. Did two loads of washing and hung them out, which dried in about 1.5 hours and finally dug out all of my summer clothes and switched them up for the winter ones - I don't have enough wardrobe space to keep them all out at once. Now too hot so am lying on the sofa with a fan on. We plan to go for a walk this evening when it's cooler.

Sitting in the house doing repairs before my son goes on holiday at the weekend. He wants to buy new stuff, I'm like I'll repair it!!
My nan would be proud of my sewing skills 🤣🤣

I walked the dogs and went for a run this morning before it got too hot. That's enough activity for me until a dog walk when it cools down this evening. Until then I'm in the garden having a drink and patting myself on the back for having the foresight to book this week off work 2 months ago.

Making ice cream and keeping our eldest teen motivated to revise a level maths - which isn’t easy

Walked the dog at 6am for an hour. Then I got ready. Did a quick trip to the shops. I’ve been sorting out a few cupboards. Done two lots of washing and I’m going to read for the rest of the day. It’s 33 in my garden.

Working in a packed pub short staffed… happy bank holiday

Dog walk. Laundry. Hoovered and mopped. Little rest with an episode of ER. Off to the gym now.

This morning DH watered all of the flowers and our sapling trees early and I got washing done and we put the pool out for the dogs and let them play outside before it got too hot.
Then at about 11am when it was getting hot, we brought the dogs and cat in, DH has gone out to visit his mother and I changed the beds, closed all of the bedroom blinds and have spent most of this afternoon sat with the dogs, infront of a fan and reading a book whilst enjoying listening to the local kids playing out and getting excited over having their pool out.
Doing an easy dinner of mature cheddar and steak burgers with salad and onion rings for tea and looking forward to a cool evening shower and then lying on our bed with the dogs as I watch a movie whilst DH watches one of his Netflix shows,
It's been a lovely day if I'm honest - really enjoyed it even though I'm not a fan on heatwaves - we go away next week and I'm secretly glad that there's some rain and cooler temperatures in the forecast, but I always was "different".

Went out to do some needed clothes shopping this morning with DH and DD before it got too hot. Nice early lunch out. Now relaxing at home with the air conditioning on!

I've done lots of washing which has dried quickly so that's a bonus. Other than that I've been sitting indoors sweltering even in front of a fan, I don't enjoy heatwaves they leave me feeling very unwell, I have IBS and it's really playing up in the heat and I feel very nauseous. Annoying as we have just purchased a lovely outdoor corner sofa but it's too hot in our south facing garden right now.

We will walk the dog tonight over the fields when it will, hopefully, be cooler.

Driving home from visiting family down the M5 with no Aircon 🥵.

I've hung out the laundry, and am watching a fairly poor Agatha Christie adaptation with a glass of wine. No energy whatsoever.

Went to town first thing for some odd jobs, came home sat in the garden for a bit, then had a nap and listened to a podcast.

I love the heat, and I'm off. Plus we can't afford a holiday this year so it feels like the weather is making up for it!

Hot, warm breeze, house is tidy, picky bits for meals and a Pimm's in the garden in the afternoon.

Had an early outing and lunch with v young DC, home before the heat, but now everyone is restless and hot. It's just so hot and due to be 20c over night.

July, ok yeah but May...it's day 1 of half term here🥵

Sitting in the shade with a cool drink in the garden. There’s a breeze so it’s not too bad. I’m not a heat-lover but I don’t mind it so much on days I don’t have to do anything. Tomorrow will be horrible though!
