Why are you awake?

why can’t you sleep? I’ll go 1st.
I’m wide awake as too much on my mind and just can’t seem to drop off!!

Just got home from babysitting. It takes me a while to drop off when I’ve been driving 😴

DH snoring and snorting. Driving me mad.

Driving home from the airport after a wonderful week away!

I needed to get painkillers, as I’ve got Rheumatoid Arthritis and it’s flared up. I’m now on the settee with a coffee.

Just got in from 13 hours at a music festival! Need to wind down as I’m up early to walk the dog, then do it all again tomorrow!!!

I haven’t tried to go to sleep. It’s not very late. I’ve just come to bed, and am about to read for a while.

I'm not a great sleeper and it's hot.

Im usually up at this time. I dont like sleeping.

I had a nap earlier and my 2 dogs are hogging the bed.

Had stuff on my mind which I've just now sorted by reading up online about it. But also am ill with a cough & runny nose so not feeling great. Going to try to sleep soon though.

I just am, it often happens.

I had a 3 hour nap today!!

I was in bed awake waiting on my daughter to come home from a night out. Its her first time driving at night on her own

General insomnia, menopause, stress. Who knows. It’s driving me bonkers. Every bloody night.

I seem to be a combination of a few of you

1. Its hot
2. Our dog is taking up too much room in the bed
3. Pain from a slipped disk although not as bad as it was

But mainly because we were up late binging The Mentalust ( oops Mentalist 😆) and then I made the mistake of opening mumsnet 🥳

Because my DH is wandering around the bedroom because he can't find a tshirt in his full wardrobe to sleep in 🙄

Because my eldest DC(aged17) started playing the violin just now - repeatedly trying different short phrases, not an actual piece of music.
They said they couldn’t stop until they’d worked out a melody from a musical they found on YouTube.
Then wanted to chat at length about plot of said musical on YouTube.
DC has ADHD and ASD.
Have pointed out that any normal human would have punched him for waking them up at this time and shared living at Uni (if the exam gods are kind) will be tricky.
DC reluctantly gone to bed but will leave me a voice note as the info dumping needs to be done.

Feeding my baby and trying to stay awake!

Have you tried magnesium supplements ?

I also found spraying the sheets with lavender helped when I had long term insomnia

One of my dc is wide awake ( asd and adhd) and I've got a uti, keep needing to wee and it's very uncomfortable x

ADHD viola playing son at Uni and I can confirm the Exeter students won’t be bothered. They never seem to be asleep at this time anyway 🤣🤣
