A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

It's awful, isn't it? I can't see how there's any room for doubt after the footage that we all saw that a crime wasn't commited by both those feral lads.

Upstartled · 29/05/2026 14:26

Some comparative word clouds on how the main party leaders are received by More in Common. Doesn't seem to be one for the greens. Badenoch is doing comparatively much better than the others. Still makes me laugh that Daveys still gets a don't know. It's been almost six years and he's as noteworthy as wallpaper.

I love these (as you know). Kemi's is brilliant compared to the others.
I hope to see BOLLARD on the red one before Starmer gets the boot. That would make my day 😂

Oh, that would be ace! We can live in hope.

Oof, some angry 🦜s on MN today. Blair has ruffled their feathers.

Looks like the second tranche of Mandelson files will drop next week, unless they wriggle out of it again. Looking forward to it. I hope Kemi is well rested.

Oh yes, on Monday, with plenty of time to read them before pmqs. Wonder if Starmer will have an emergency evacuation international meeting to attend?

Yes good point. He needs an international crisis to escape to by Wednesday.
I suspect they won't have fully complied with the humble address to try and save face.
Anonymous briefing from the security committee said that these files are "unsurvivable" for Starmer.

Could be another interesting week ahead. It'll make up for the weather caving in.

I read that about the next release being “unsurvivable” a couple of weeks ago. But I can’t see what could do for him if his atrocious judgement, rule bending and dissembling haven’t forced him out so far.

I suppose if we find out that he wanted to appoint Peter Murrell as Governor of the Bank of England he might be in more trouble. But short of that, it’s difficult to imagine he could sink any lower.

Upstartled · 29/05/2026 16:41

Right, I'm thinking bollard might not cut it anymore, credit where credit is due, the man's a stubborn cling-on.

Starmer the Klingon? Nah... Limpet, more like.

No, not a Klingon....the annoying bit of excrement that holds on for dear life and will just not flush down the loo, a cling-on. ☺️🫣

True. How much worse can it get, above and beyond what we already know?

No retrial for the Manchester Airport attackers.
https://www.dailymail.com/news/article-15808091/Two-brothers-violent-arrest-Manchester-Airport-went-viral-wont-face-trial.html

But the officer who intervened is still being investigated...
This is madness.

The police are terrified of appearing racist. Ditto juries and the courts.
