How many biscuits is a portion?

TwinklyGoldReader · Today 21:35

Does it depend on the biscuit?! I think the number increases drastically if I’m dipping in a cuppa.

Me and DH have settled on four, but he doesn’t know about the ones I eat before I leave the kitchen…

4 seems right to me

notthatoldchestnut · Today 21:36

An entire pack of Jaffa cakes obv 😂

asdbaybeeee · Today 21:37

I’d say 3 or 2 if they are large

Packet

DoYouLikeYourNaneFred · Today 21:39

It usually says on the packet. But for me I'd say 2.

when I was little the neighbour always had broken biscuits in her biscuit tin because her toddler insisted on one for each hand 😂

I once saw my sister eat two Jaffa cakes and stop, I haven’t looked at her the same since

47

BePoisedPlumUser · Today 21:40

Two. One for each hand.

DustyMaiden · Today 21:41

2 or 3 depending on size .

BatchCookBabe · Today 21:42

One third of one, with one grape.

#joking

Depends on the biscuit. Bigger, more calorific ones, just 2, ginger nuts or rich tea or digestives, 3...

& you'd be welcome to them!

I haven't had one for at least 10 years, but could be 20 or more. I was offered one the other day at a new friends, so thought I'd give them another go. They're worse now than they were before - I just don't get the love for them. (Now a terrys chocolate orange...)

DandelionClockSeeds · Today 21:43

If the packet is resealable, 3 ish.
But if the packet cant be resealed, its a single portion. See: Jaffa cakes and most other packets

A packet. Is what I tell myself 😊

Nogimachi · Today 21:45

Two (but I sneak a third!)

Came to say the same

Disturbia81 · Today 21:46

This is why I can’t eat stuff like this. I can easily eat a whole packet in one go!

swapsicles · Today 21:47

Depends on the biscuit and packaging, open a pack of bourbons and they are gone quite quickly, easily 4 to 6, obviously the broken ones at the top of the pack don't have calories 😂
Something like a triple chocolate cookie, just 2 if I'm good

I only came here to say just that.

Should be on the pack as a 'serving suggestion'.

Just 12 Jaffa Cakes on a plate

Overthebow · Today 21:48

I think 2 is a portion, but I can easily eat 2 or 3 portions in one go.

TheChosenTwo · Today 21:48

I think 2, one to check you like it wake your taste buds up a bit and the second as sort of confirmation.

But haven’t you noticed there’s only 10 in a pack now. And they’re smaller!

JustAMum90 · Today 21:52

Depends on the biscuit and the day to be honest 🤣 minimum 2+ anyway. Anyone who goes for one is just odd IMO 🤣

Jaffa Cakes is a packet 🤣

Are we classing Cadbury’s Fingers as a biscuit? Because I could deal with multiple boxes of them at a time 🫠🤣

sakura06 · Today 21:52

2 or 3
