Yep, genealogy is a big deal here lol, probably because our 'US as melting pot' mentality has sort of diluted many cultural identities. Now that DNA is a 'thing' there's even more interest.
I don't claim to be anything but an American because I was born and raised here. That's my 'identity'. DNA speaking I'm 98% a mixture of various regions of the British Isles with a smidge of Nordic thrown in for good measure. But I promise when I visit the UK I won't claim to be English, Welsh, Irish, or Scots. And when I visit the place my grandparents emigrated from in Cornwall, I won't call myself Cornish, either.
My musing is now over, Just trying to keep my mind occupied until the polls start closing.
Breaking news CNN (TV); Todd Blanche, acting AG: "We are not moving forward with the $1.8 billion fund".
And I have a bridge in Brooklyn if anyone is interested in owning a bridge.
I expect the 'weaponization fund' to rear its ugly head in some other form as soon as Congress passes the funding bill.
