It looks like $1.8b slush fund was used as distraction to the fact that Trump and his family are now forever got get free out of jail card from any irs investigations. They now dropped the slush fund out of equation and whilst everyone still talking about it the IRS immunity is still in place. I hope any future government reverses that and properly investigates Trump and his cronies

I am not sure if it is all about distractions. I am thinking he genuinely thought he could just do a slush fund and pay it to his pals. Likely expecting them to pay it to him.

I agree, @RedTagAlan, I think he believes the fact he is President of the United States means that everyone in the whole wide world has to bow down to him and do exactly what he wants, because he is, indeed, the Great Dictator. He has no understanding of the Constitution of the US, nor the difference between a democracy and him running the country like his own private fiefdom and inciting civil war between his supporters and those who don’t agree with him. He’s a malevolent, egotistical, clot.

Which is all very well. But you have to have some views on the system - and people - that made it happen.

The House passed a resolution to block President Trump from ordering further strikes on Iran, ratcheting up pressure on the administration to find a way to end the unpopular war.

It's the fund that he could use to pay his supporters cash no questions asked. There was a bit of an uproar. And yesterday he said "ok is wont", but today he is saying "actually I will do it".
