I think the removal of his name may take some time. The face of the bldg is white Carrara marble and whether the letters are screwed in or glued on I'm sure it's going to take specialist workers to remove them without leaving visible 'scars'.

But I have a feeling that for now, any delay is due to an expected appeal.

The Mormons are revolting.

Kegsbreath has reduced the list of Pentagon recognised religions from 200 to 31.

And he has decided that Mormons are not Christian. And the Mormons are not happy.

Oh, and of the 31 faiths left on the list for service people to identify as, 21 of them are Christian denominations.

Yup, the US military has taken the box for Atheist off the tick list for people who sign up as willing to die for their country.

Why are Mormons not Christian? Has he explained? Or is he so dumb he didn’t realise?! They’ve a significant population in the US, particularly in some states, and maybe he will have to umm own someone else’s admin error.

Guess they recognise they need just a little support elsewhere for their Crusades, outside purely Christianity - tbh I’d be irritated as a Hindu or other non Christian and feel a tad patronised. To be totally honest I wouldn’t want to be in the military at all with Kegsbreath running it.

What about those aetheists etc already in - do they have to find a religion? Do others have to convert?

It will not only be Trump or Hegseth who does not include Mormonism into Christianity. The ME and European denominations mostly do not include them. But this is talling about religion canon, which is always very strict.

That has very little to do with the US government accepting them as a faith in the list.
And how has atheism fallen off the list too?

As far as I know, it is a religion created in US, of which I do not really know much. And differs enough from the European ones left on the other side of the puddle for them to consider it different. But, well, there was a day when all hell broke loose between Protestants and the other denominations. Now they are all happy together.
This should have zero to do with politics and forms!
