It's the final match day of the English Premier League football or soccer. My team is playing in a relegation match (we are not in danger) and it feels like the whole country is expecting/willing us to win.

Iran and the US could agree a peace deal within hours, Marco Rubio said on Sunday after President Trump claimed that the final details had been “largely negotiated”.
Trump said that the memorandum of understanding would be announced “shortly” and would include an agreement on the Strait of Hormuz being re-opened.
“An agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalisation between the United States of America,” he wrote on Truth Social.
The president said that he had discussed the negotiations with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain and Pakistan. “Separately, I had a call with Prime Minister Bibi [Binyamin] Netanyahu, of Israel, which, likewise, went very well,” Trump posted.

Will any reporter be brave enough to ask whether the US objectives in starting the war in conjunction with Israel, have been achieved.

I had to look up 'relegation match' lol. We don't have anything like that in baseball. A team may send players to one of their minor league teams (aka 'farm teams') for 'development' or rehab after an injury, but whole teams don't get 'demoted' to the minors.

My family have been Dodgers fans for 4 generations. Starting with my Grandad and Dad even before they moved to LA from Brooklyn in 1958 and continuing through me to my sons. In fact my first 'crush' was Sandy Koufax when I was just a little girl way back in the early 60s. I was going to marry him and we would raise horses (my 'other love') lol.

PS watching Scrotus at the Memorial Day laying of the wreath at Arlington's Tomb of the Unknowns. Looks like he's kinda having trouble balancing. I've no idea what could cause the bruising on his hand, but I do recall seeing photos of the late Queen with similar markings on her hands shortly before her death, which gave rise to much consternation in the popular press. Reportedly, she was suffering from cancer (in addition to old age).
