Ah right - cheers - that’s interesting - I knew he was a shocking businessman, but hadn’t realised this was his MO.

I knew enough to wonder why he is lauded as a great businessman, and why people still voted on this basis - I hadn’t really realised how terribly his MO in that area could be replicated in politics and war.

He is so completely oblivious to how bad he really is at any role too though - boggling!

With Eid-al-Adha approaching (26th May), I am reading in some places that people in the ME are expecting that Israel/USA will resume attacks on Iran over the next few days. (Also, long week-end in the States, all quiet on the stockmarket front.) So that’s something to look forward to. It is even being rumoured that along with not attending DTJr’s wedding, the Orange Megalomaniac has also cancelled his golfing this week-end, but I’ll take that with a pinch of salt.

I thought he would cancel his golf because he can hardly say he is too busy to attend his son's wedding because of the Iran war then be on the golf course. Surely?
But nothing would surprise me...

He is so far into his own massive ego now that he's lost all awareness of how anything might look. He is basically convinced that he's the most important person in the world and everyone should defer to him and he can do what he likes.

I cannot wait for the fall too! When it all gets depressing, I think of what a political commentator said... something along the lines of "this too shall pass". And that is totally correct. He won't always be in power (whatever he likes to think). It's just going to be so hard for a decade at least to put the US back into any semblance of order.

I’m sorry, I know I’m sounding depressing, but I honestly think that these last 10 years of Trump and MAGA have put the USA back 250 years and it will need more than a decade to put it back together again. My latest prediction is that at some point, the blue states will secede, which may or may not be caused by, or lead to, civil war (I’m not sure how it would work).

I reckon I am below average on the smart stakes. Just a little maybe, but below average for sure. There is loads I can't grasp that other people can. And no matter how much I try, I just can't get it.

But I rate myself far smarter than Trump. And when I think of what I don't and can't understand, and think that about 45% understand less, then I think as a species we are doing amazing well.

And look at what has happened when the world had smart leaders. The Austrian Corporal that you mentioned, Mao, Stalin. Combined, they killed something like 170 million.

And we have learned lessons from that as a collective whole. I can't see us having another Mao.

Human societies are changing at an incredible rate. We have devices in our hand now that just 30 years ago were seen only in Sci-fi. And so many things are changing all at the same time that nobody can really say what is causing the negatives.

But the overall gradient is positive. Wars kill 70k now. Not 700k.

I reckon Trump is really a blip. And I think humanity will learn from it, over time.

Then again. What do I know. We could ask the really smart people I suppose. But I think they are too busy designing new computer chips and medicines. So busy doing that that they don't bother with politics.

And this can be considered as being applicable to US politics and who the US masses elect as POTUS:

I think science will find God in the next few decades, and it will change humanity forever.

I think God is a gene that we have evolved. Us being a social species, this whole belief in any number of deities is evolutionary advantage for us as a species. And my prediction is that a small PhD team somewhere will identify the gene, and prove it.

And then that happens, it will change the world.

Just imagine if God was taken out of US politics. And world politics.
