We are a kind and welcoming group supporting each other in our daily tasks to organize and declutter and stay on top of all that needs doing. We share our accomplishments and brain dump our to-do lists in a friendly chat over coffee manner. 😊☕️

@autumnangel I hope you’ve been able to make some small steps forward. As others have already said do you think it would be worth seeing your gp? Sending love.
That clip is quite something @Mumtobabyhavoc!
How long until the bbq now @Peridot1 ? Hopefully this spell of wet weather will have made the garden grow and look lovely but will pass in time for the bbq.
Any news on your mum @FourSeasonsLobelia ? I hope everything is going as well as it can.
Apologies on anyone I’ve missed out - it’s lovely to hear what you’ve all been up to!
We've been away looking after and visiting oldies and family since Monday and going home sometime today. Waiting for a fairly important visit from a medical person for FIL before we leave and they haven’t specified a time. Will visit my dad again this morning. He slept through all but 20 seconds of my visit yesterday - only opened his eyes briefly but I hope he knew I was there.

Peridot1 · Yesterday 09:43

Morning all.

Hope you are feeling better @autumnangel. A GP visit might be a good idea.

You have been busy @Mumtobabyhavoc. As always!

@watchPhone - hope the bathroom has turned out as you hoped.

BBQ is on Saturday. Weather forecast is good 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞. We do have gazebos on standby.

Garden is looking good @petalpower. The rain has definitely helped. And it’s raining currently so will help some more. I could do a few more bits but we are at the stage where it’s extras really. I need to plant two pots by the front door but if I don’t I don’t. DH still has lots of plug plants in the greenhouse so might just dump some of them in. They are pretty tiny though. Actually he does have some blue lobelias so might put them in in honour of our lovely @FourSeasonsLobelia.

Yesterday was gym day plus a trip to the garden centre not for plants. I had seen a picture I really liked so got that and a wipeable table cloth for our dining table in case of drips or spills on Saturday. Afternoon was weeding followed by eyebrow tint and pedicure.

Today is all inside jobs. Pictures to go up in hallway. Clean and clear fridge in kitchen. Clean and sort fridge in garage. Clean lights over island unit. Dust and sort display cabinets/shelf unit in dining area. I have been redistributing ornaments etc from it to other rooms as they have been finished so it’s looking a bit odd as there are lots of gaps. Vacuum and wash floors in kitchen/dining area. Wine, beer and glasses get delivered this afternoon so will need dealing with.

Have a great day all.

@Mumtobabyhavoc it came on tuesday! I must say, i was impressed with the whole experience with Very.co.uk. I had their insurance.

That place looks beautiful!

@petalpower my love to you and your pils x

@Peridot1 glad its all coming together

Good morning everyone from a very tired household! But dd is up, on 6 hours sleep. World Cup opening ceremony today so I will be trying to teach her the 'en ger land' chant! She will likely not care 😄

Today's projects:
Deep clean kitchen
Pop to sainsburys for bunting and snacks
Get admin organised - theres papers everywhere, I dont feel like I know where everything is should an emergency crop up

Have a lovely one all 🥰

Thanks so much @petalpower . She had her 'big op' our time 9 pm last night, out at around 3 am our time. She is currently under heavy sedation and not expected to be brought out of it until tomorrow. The operation went well it seems. My dad is staying in a hotel near the hospital and said people were very pleased with how it went.

The Dcs and I are due to head off there in 2 and a bit weeks. It feels like an eon away really. She is expected to be out of hospital / isolation in around 10 days.

I hope your FIL is well and your dad too. Thanks It's so hard!

Thinking of you @autumnangel . You have had just so so much to deal with over months- not surprising to have a huge emotional crash now. Thanks thinking of you. xxx

Thanks @Peridot1 Smile. I bought blue lobelia too yesterday! I have re-started my spring/summer habit of buying a pot plant every time I go to the supermarket to fill in gaps in the garden beds. One particularly bare bed is beginning to look very full!

@mumofoneAloneandwell your DD is going to have happy memories of the World Cup! As I get older I have come to truly believe in the principle of celebrating everything you possibly can. It's joyful!!

I have my lobelia to plant today and some purple dhalias also. Our cleaner has been and gon and so I tend to use Thursdays to catch up on batch cooking and laundry as I don't feel the compelling presence of the Unwashed Floor following me around grumbling. Smile

Love and hugs to all on our lovely thread- and to lurkers too. ❤

Thank you all for your very kind messages. I was at my GP at the beginning of the week and she has giving me some medication but it's not really helping. I think I've had an allergic reaction to something on top of a huge hormonal change (just came off the pill after 25 years) as well as an emotional time (one year this week since DH became unwell and my entire life turned upside down). I'm sure everything will sort its self out eventually but for now I'm just plodding on. I had booked a massage for myself this morning but due to the rash I have all over my body I had to cancel. I was really looking forward to it but I'll reschedule as soon as I can.
I recently bought the batch lady book and this morning I prepped 3(x2) meals from it as well as prepping the lovely spanish chicken traybake from the hairy bikers website so now I have 8 meals in the freezer ready to be defrosted and cooked. I'd love to do big batch cooking but I have a bit of a thing about defrosting cooked food and reheating. I'm not really sure what the problem is and I should probably try and get over it but for now prepping, freezing, defrosting and cooking will do for now. Looking forward to a new recipe this evening - char sui pork chops.
In other news, I spotted a pair of roller skates in the charity shop window the other day and I couldn't stop thinking about them. It's been years since I rollerskated but I looked online and there is a roller rink in town so I've booked myself a spot for next week. Really looking forward to getting out the house and trying something new.
Anyway that was longer than I thought it would be. Hope you are all well, sending much love to everyone.

FourSeasonsLobelia · Yesterday 12:09

Roller skates!!!

Now, that sounds the business! I hope you enjoy. I am so sorry about the one year anniversary week. It's no wonder you have had a dip. Thanks

Love to you, dear @autumnangel xx

@FourSeasonsLobelia - so pleased your mum’s op went well. I’m sure you were on tenterhooks all day. My dad had a quadruple bypass a few years ago and I couldn’t sit still. Deep cleaned my mum’s entire kitchen as a displacement activity. I hope her recovery is smooth.

@autumnangel - do you know what could have caused the allergic reaction? I’m sure your system is reacting to emotional stress so things maybe more sensitive than normal. Well done on the cooking. The char Sui pork chops sound good.

watchPhone · Yesterday 14:46

@Peridot1 it has!!!! apart from a leaky shower 😄 luckily they are back tomorrow and it appears to have stopped leaking 😄(for now) I did have the first shower yesterday which was amazing.

RunningKatie · Yesterday 17:32

@autumnangel - sending you a gentle hug, you've had so much to contend with, your poor body sounds like it's processing it all.
@FourSeasonsLobelia - fingers crossed your mum is recovering well.

I've just made 4 different evening meals, so frustrating but also lunches done for tomorrow and my breakfast prepped.
Next I need to wash up as the dishwasher is full to bursting and then help dc1 to do some revision. I fear they are going to crash and burn this first set of mocks but also that it's ok and might help focus them for future revision.

Hoping dh is coming home armed with cake this evening, feeling I've earnt it!

mumofoneAloneandwell · Yesterday 17:39

Thank you @FourSeasonsLobelia , I hope so!

Okay, so glad the docs are happy with how the op went, and that its done. Fingers crossed for the next two weeks flying by so you can be with her ❤️

@autumnangel well done on getting up and about, and sorry its been almost a year, that could be why youve been feeling so low xx
