45 apparently šŸ«£šŸ˜‚. Some rooms have several dogs. I fear I should have brought earplugs.

Is this in Kenilworth? (I'll see myself out.)

Don’t be daft. It was clearly Barking and Wagenham.

NorwichMom · 07/05/2026 23:49

We stopped at a national trust place earlier on and he enjoyed seeing the animals

So many people getting worked up 🤣🤣 Travelodge have allowed pets (not just dogs!) for YEARS. It’s not a recent thing!

MagnoIia · 07/05/2026 23:57

That's Travelodge off my list if I ever need a cheap place to crash. Utterly sick of dogs everywhere, I HATE it.

Doesn't stop the frothing, though! 🤣

the doggo owners need to get over themselves, stop carrying dogs like babes, pushing them in prams and taking them t for mini breaks. Hotels will sep up pet sitting next

This lot are here for a dog show not a ā€˜mini break’ - it’s a work trip for the dogs.šŸ˜‚
They’re probably bathed and coiffed to a higher standard than some of the human visitors.

sittingonabeach · 08/05/2026 00:40

Good luck @NorwichMom

Sevenwondersofthewoo · 08/05/2026 00:44

Travelodge have always had dogs or cats for that matter in em well any pet really.

it used to be a fiver way back

@NorwichMom enjoy the show

Kokonimater · 08/05/2026 01:47

I’m so glad more and more places are becoming dog friendly now. Yay.

That’s a great idea!! Like they used to do babysitting at Butlin type camps? ā€œThere is a dog barking in chalet 52ā€.

Well it’s certainly not Catford is it! 🤣

cherryicecreamisnice · 08/05/2026 08:06

When proprietors took down the ā€œguide dogs onlyā€ signs did they think only one dog would come in?

TheHungryHungryLandsharks · 08/05/2026 08:07

Good luck @NorwichMomif you’re showing !!!! I remember you and your little beauty from the puppy thread last year ā˜ŗļø

StarlightLady · 08/05/2026 08:10

Have the dogs brought people with them? šŸ˜€

cantgardenintherain · 08/05/2026 08:14

@YeOldeGreyhound Hotels won’t know the difference.

Secretseverywhere · 08/05/2026 08:14

I really feel for the cleaners tbh. When I worked in a hotel the £20 charge was ostensibly to cover deep cleaning but as cleaners we just got 30 minutes per room to do changeover regardless.

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 08/05/2026 08:24

A dog on the bed, you’re really in for it now OP!

I wouldn’t be surprised if the travelodge you’re in did relax its rules about dog limits especially for the show, knowing some will
be bringing multiple dogs and they can charge a bit more for them. It’s not like it’s the busiest of hotels at the best of times! And I can believe you about the rat (if you saw that from your hotel window) - the KFC definitely attracts them!

squashyhat · 08/05/2026 08:33

I will trade you any number of dogs for the hen party which appears to have taken over the Travelodge I'm currently in. Near Stansted. I hope to God they are not on my flight. Angry

Greenwitchart · 08/05/2026 08:46

Then book a dog-free hotel. It really is that simple.

Businesses choose to do what will get them the most customers and you have the choice to not use their services.
