Do you believe the Michael Jackson allegations?

For me it’s undeniable and the evidence is overwhelming, but I’m shocked by the amount of people who don’t.

@everyoldsock
There's no 'surely' when it comes to stuff like this, we know that people don't always report pedophiles or speak up against them. Everyone knows this, family often turn a blind eye or brush it under the carpet.

I don’t know how often they cover up, but yes it happens. But we’re talking about Latoya, who wrote a controversial memoir in 1991 in which she told all about the Jackson’s. So there’s that, the timing of the statement, and the context of her abusive marriage. All in all that’s way more of a compelling argument than yours.

I don't think any man with a natural deep voice would be able to maintain it that long.

Of course they wouldn’t. Honestly, it’s amusing how some people here pretend he had a vastly different voice than what he did in private.

He did! Watch the documentary he did which went behind the scenes for the tour he was going to do before he died. There is a scene where he lets slip his real voice during a dance rehearsal!

But why are you shocked by it? Lots of people put on celebrity personas.

Paris Hilton puts on a baby voice and pretemds to be stupid when she is not.

Marilyn monrow did the same. She put on the character of marilyn monroe as thats what the public wanted. They wanted a dumb sweet blonde, not a very intelligent woman

MyTrivia · 12/05/2026 10:53

Yes, because he was very likeable on the surface and had huge charisma - that’s why he was so successful.

But underneath, he was extremely manipulative and didn’t understand how to have healthy relationships with other people or about what normal boundaries were.

Hubhubba26 · 12/05/2026 10:34

So many people who knew him who say such lovely things about him. Both children and adults.

Lots of people seemed to like Jimmy Saville and Rolf Harris.
Doesn't change what they did elsewhere

Hubhubba26 · 12/05/2026 11:20

@MyTrivia you're stating a lot of hearsay like you knew the guy. Except you didn't. A lot of this has already been disproven through the courts. Isn't it fair enough that all sides are heard

Hubhubba26 · 12/05/2026 11:27

@Needspaceforlego Even as a child I found them both creepy as fuck actually. Plus their victims credible and their stories plausible as deemed so by the appropriate legal system. This is not the case so far in the Michael Jackson allegations

It’s not ‘hearsay’ any more than any of your contributions. Nothing has been disproven. The prosecutor of the child molestation case says that having been privy to all of the evidence himself, he can’t possibly understand why anyone wouldn’t see he’s a pedophile.

I expect the jury didn’t want to convict him because they were star struck like everyone and because he put on a show, wearing pyjamas to appear frail. I expect they believed he wouldn’t fare very well in prison.

Compelling to you.

Hubhubba26 · 12/05/2026 12:20

So many claims disproven @MyTrivia. It's always a good idea to look into these things before taking a side. Anyway here's an interview with a juror from the 2005 court case.

Yes, 100%. I do not understand why people still listen to his music, watch the stage show or would watch the new film. Absolutely baffling how people can find enjoyment in someone who was a paedophile

What occurred to me re: his music is the uncomfortable realisation that the focus of many of his songs with a romantic theme would have been boys of around 10 years old.

For that reason I won’t play them anymore.

Hubhubba26 · 12/05/2026 14:23

It’s funny how Michael always wanted to go to the trials unlike the families, who moreover never called the police and only wanted a financial settlement that is to say blackmail before the accusations.

MyTrivia · 12/05/2026 15:02

Gavin Arvizo’s family wouldn’t be paid off - that’s why there was a trial.

Very, very embarrassing and stressful for a boy of his age to have had to take the stand and speak about what a man had done to him.

Another angle in this whole thing is that the jury would have had to cope with threats from delusional MJ fans for goodness knows how long if they put him in jail. He wouldn’t have survived in jail and they knew that too.

Hubhubba26 · 12/05/2026 15:06

we often comment on subjects that we don't really know about. If you know nothing about the accusations against Michael Jackson, do your research, read, dig deeper. Talking just to talk can be harmful.

Many who believe he is guilty have done plenty of research and reading.

As have some people who believe he’s innocent or are unsure.

Wow, how condescending. i was born in the 80s. I have read all there is to read about this made my own decision based upon the evidence.

I would have liked to believe he’s innocent but the evidence is irrefutable at this point. There is just too many people all saying the same thing and not all of them were accusers either.

everyoldsock · 12/05/2026 16:41

At his trial, Jackson’s team put forward that Gavin’s mother had coached Gavin and his brother to fabricate descriptions of sexual abuse by Jackson. She would have won millions against Jackson if he’d been found guilty. Janet was a proven liar (in a previous compensation case that she won) and was later done for welfare fraud.

MyTrivia · 12/05/2026 16:49

What do you mean ‘a proven liar’? That is nonsense. Everyone has lied at some time and it doesn’t prove that someone isn’t a victim of abuse.

Tbh I think Gavin Arvizo would have been paid off too but MJ was in so much debt at that point that paying him off was impossible this time.

People only care because his celebrity persona is used as an explanation for why he's always sleeping with boys. The voice is part of the reason people see him as this sweet innocent angel childlike man but turns out that's not his real voice.

Paris has never been accused of sexually assaulting, and then tried to say the reason she's already around them is because she's just a baby herself, if she had then people would make more of a big deal about her fake voice.
