Do you believe the Michael Jackson allegations?

For me it’s undeniable and the evidence is overwhelming, but I’m shocked by the amount of people who don’t.

Quite a few of you who cannot google or read linked articles, I see. (Do let me know what you think about the Vanity Fair one I linked above.)

She distanced herself long before this DM article, and - as has been widely reported elsewhere - wanted nothing to do with the version of her father's life the film is presenting.

“A big section of the film panders to a very specific section of my dad’s fandom that still lives in the fantasy and they’re gonna be happy with it.” Paris Jackson

Context is important here. That’s only part of the quote. She also talks about inaccuracy and dishonesty in the draft script which she gave feedback on and was peeved that it wasn’t corrected. Yet the film timeline-wise stops before the allegations due to legal constraints around the NDAs.

Unless you’re suggesting that the ‘dishonesty’ Paris Jackson refers to is around wanting the film to cover aspects that they legally couldn’t, then the headlines are deliberately misleading.

glitterpaperchain · 07/05/2026 11:32

I do. I think people feel for him because he obviously had an extremely difficult childhood himself and was clearly unwell mentally. It's not an excuse, but I think many people don't want it to be true because they feel for him

everyoldsock · 07/05/2026 10:52

Yes, you do. See:

Kanye West
Bill Cosby
Roseanne Barr
Ellen Degeneres

Just four off the top of my head.

I actually not sure that these have all been cancelled , Bill Cosby for sure but Ellen has had a comedy show out on Netflix recently and Kanye is still being sponsored by PayPal and Pepsi.

likelysuspect · 07/05/2026 11:39

What did Ellen and Rosanne do?

Cailleach1 · 07/05/2026 12:04

@SharkPants ‘Nothing about him was real. His appearance / voice even his skin colour (although he stated that he had a condition which caused this). The point is, I really think that he was an absolute fake.’

I don’t know if he did have a skin condition. However, I looked at an article about the time he spent in Ireland (after Bahrain, I think). There was a film which interviewed a man who was a doctor or something to do with a beauty clinic. He said that MJ came in as the skin around his ankle had started becoming darker again, so MJ wanted the concentration of bleach solution (or whatever) to be increased.

Now he may have had a skin condition, and wanted all the patches to match up or something.

Very weird mixed up man and far too much ‘stuff ‘ for their to be nothing to see - however I will never ever understand the parents in this scenario either. Can’t work out if they were somehow ‘in on this’ or thinking they could somehow make money from it - which of us would willingly have sent our 9 year olds round for sleepovers??

100% willing to sacrifice their own child for money. Disgusting.

They definitely found nude photos, and his own sister openly said he was an abuser. Later retracted but under immense pressure from the rest of her family,

Really??? Which sister?

SpaDaysForAll · 07/05/2026 12:32

likelysuspect · 07/05/2026 11:39

What did Ellen and Rosanne do?

Ellen was mean so the left cancelled her. Rosanne was racist so the right embraced her.

SpaDaysForAll · 07/05/2026 12:32

So two of the people cited are women and neither was sexually abusive. Cosby got away with it for years. A PP has already made the point about West. Not looking good, is it?

Parents pimping out their children, or simply starry-eyed enough to ignore or minimise the warning signs, is not new.

We also see this in sports - parents forcing their children to continue with a sport despite being abused (gymnastics and tennis being particularly affected by this).

I think for most of us its quite hard to imagine someone pimping out their own kids.
Totally goes against the instinct to protect them

La Toya, as I recall.

My God, you've hit hard with that I have a 9yo boy, not a chance would he be sleeping over with an adult man.

Were parents maybe thinking safety in numbers there always seemed to be groups of boys rather than 121 scenario

kscarpetta · 07/05/2026 13:26

Needspaceforlego · 07/05/2026 10:47

The question on why parents kept taking their boys back especially after allegations came out God only knows.

I questioned why Virginia Gruifts (spelling sorry) father took her back to Epstien after the first day.
Then it has come out in her book her father was also an abuser.

Were the kids he abused the same?
Were parents being paid?

The more you think about it the odder it becomes.

There are plenty of fans who will go and see this movie and believe he was totally innocent etc.
They'd be the ones bringing their 9 year olds over for sleepovers if they had the chance.

fartotheleftside · 07/05/2026 13:46

Skin bleaching can induce vitiligo. Given how much he tried to erase his other black features, I’m 100% sure he was bleaching his skin and then developed vitiligo as a result of that.

it’s too much of a coincidence otherwise that this self-hating man suddenly had a skin condition related to one of his biggest insecurities. And we know he was going hard on the plastic surgery at the time.

I have vitiligo and I’ve never seen anyone with Vitiligo have an all over bleaching effect like Jackson had. It’s usually like Winne Harlow in small or large patches, and it grows over many years not overnight!

True. I do wonder how many of these fans who insist on MJ’s innocence would drop their own 9yo son off for a sleepover chez Uncle Michael.

Fan here and no I wouldn't. I wouldn't even trust the queen to look after my children. You just don't. 🤦‍♂️

They weren't thinking of the safety of their child that's for sure. If you wouldn't leave your child sleep over in the plumbers house cos he likes little boys company, why would you let him him stay over in a famous singing adult man's house..........money

ADogRocketShip · 07/05/2026 14:43

100% believe he was an abuser, yes.

Sadly I know personally 2 close family/friends that have only in their 40's/50's understood that they were victims of CSA. One genuinely didn't recollect it until more recently triggered by experiences their own child faced. The other kind of knew it wasn't normal, but didn't ever think of themselves as a 'victim' because they were loved etc. and again, only in late adulthood did they really begin to understand the situation and recognise the grooming. It's actually heartbreaking.

Those saying 'why didn't they say something before' 'why lie before' maybe don't understand the way victim's minds will close off to any suggestion they were a victim of abuse. It's an understood coping mechanism, that works surprisingly well...until one day it doesn't.

I do think there is an element of starry eyed with some people- often not very bright ones who get excited at a bit of glamour in their life and rational behaviour goes to the wind - if they can use their kids to get ‘access’ to an idol , sadly some really are that obsessed. I used to deal with fan mail and have seen some very disturbing letters over the years from grown adults- male and female. Some in their 50s and upwards! I used to have a carrier bag I called the weirdo file which I kept in case police ever needed to be involved

HRTQueen · 07/05/2026 15:59

Yes

predatory behaviour it was so glaringly obvious but so many of us were blinded by his fame, all the chaos around him and his undeniable amazing talent

Also the lost childhood story. I am not suggesting there wasn't some truth in this story but it was certainly used to explain why he wanted to be around young boys

Or the Lost Prophets fans who willingly gave their babies to Ian Watkins to abuse.

Yes, Regardless of his tunes, he was what he appeared to be. He got away with it because of race/stardom. 🙄

kkloo · 07/05/2026 17:15

@magikarpediem

This is obviously not proof of anything but the fact Chandlers dad killed himself shortly after MJ died is pretty odd to me.

The dad had a very serious degenerative disease and I believe he may have also had cancer too.
