What’s your current favourite sandwich?

We had some coleslaw left the other day that needed eating up, so I had it with some cheese in a sandwich. It’s years since I last had a cheese and coleslaw sandwich and I really enjoyed it. It’s my current favourite, even better with a few crisps added in for extra crunch.

Cheese and banana.

A well made blt works every time

Cottage cheese, avocado and sweetcorn.
Wrap with humus, tahini, halloumi, mint and pickled radishes.
Open sandwich with really dark bread, Gouda and red pepper.

Weirdly I love butter on toast but hate it in sandwiches.

Tuna mayonnaise and cucumber. Boots used to do an amazing sandwich about 30 years ago, which was smoked tofu, chilli jam, grated carrots, cabbage and bean sprouts. Nothing has come close since.

I love the sound of that Boots sandwich.

This one! Tuna and cottage cheese on sourdough whacked in the airfryer. High protein and low cal.

I had leftover homemade beef kofte, baby spinach and Greek yoghurt with garlic paste in a fresh baguette. I may have created a new entry to my top sandwich list.

I had a cheese & coleslaw roll today and hit the spot. Currently going through an egg & cress phase as well. My favourite is from work, garlic & herb focaccia with shredded iceberg lettuce, cheese savoury and gherkins. They look at me like seriously gherkins every time xx

Egg mayo...it has to be Hellmans with tomato.
Fresh bread from the bakery and preferably white.

They’re not too bad. In the wrap Greek yoghurt works well instead of halloumi. I need to try a lower carb few weeks and will make some as the basis of salads.

Can I stick this toasted sandwich option in? I had left over bolognaise from last night's dinner (homemade) so stuck it on bread with mozzarella slices and toasted it for me and my 13y boy..he said it was the best thing ever..I agree. New way to use the left overs 😋 (chilli is good too,as tested before 😋).

I've been diagnosed with kidney disease this week and need to lay off salt and animal proteins. So I am now not sure if this thread is harming my well-being or allowing me to live vicariously!

I didn;t eat dinner last night so have decided (thanks to this tread) that a massive sandwich is the business.

I have seeded rye and plan to baste tofu with honey and coat in sesame seeds and pan fry and have that with lettuce, grated carrot, cucumber, tomato and beetroot as a sort of club sandwich. Problem is I can't be bothered getting up now but will report back.

I do like Brie and salad. Also like ssinsburys cheese baton. Best is portion of French baguette, pate, large tomato cut, cucumber and lettuce. Served ideally with glass of red wine. 🍷

Love cheese and pickle too. With cherry tomatoes on the side to make it healthy.

This! Other sandwiches come and go but egg mayo is always there.
