The Strait of Schrödinger remains open and closed, safe and dangerous, insurable and uninsurable, blockaded and free.

"You put your tanker in, you put your tanker out
In, out, in, out, you sail it all about
You do the Straits of Hormuz and you turn around
That’s what it’s all about!"

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!

Got overwhelmed by the 🍊💩's idiot fuckery last time and missed out thread #161 so have designated this one as fake #162...A

Re meeting Iranians. Not easy is it. I mean in terms of politics etc. You never know. In brit terms, are you talking to a GB news watching brexiter, a Corbynite, or a Wee Free church elder. You never know.

I find it takes a long time and many chats to sus it out. To get through their bias and your own. Not easy at all. If they know the history is a good indicator though.

On the other threads, it seems to be the norm that any Iranian on the telly is telling it totally the way it is. Especially if the interview is on GB news.

No-one with a functioning brain should be watching GB News.

I was at school with an Iranian Persian girl. Her family left just before the revolution.

Persis was her name.

The diversity summit plot line in Veep was really a policy statement.

Going off thread for a moment but when it comes to the Falklands conflict there was a bit/a lot of blame on both sides and amongst other things it certainly wasn't the UK FCOs finest hour..

That said it certainly wasn't a case of Thatcher starting something to save her own or the party's skin.

Now back to current events.

My apologies, I didn’t mean to imply that Thatcher started the Falklands War, but I feel she took the country into it as a means to her own ends because of her then status in the party and the country. Deflecting attention from what was happening in the UK to what was happening abroad, as Trump is trying to deflect from the Epstein files.

How can a man with the intellect and vocabulary skills of a block of cheese become the President of the United States and now totally fuck up the world?

At least a block of cheese is cultured.

I'll get my coat.

As someone who lived through it (and aware of the context) then Thatcher did the only thing her conscience would allow. You have to recall she grew up able to remember how WW2 started. With appeasement.

Also, despite the attempts to rewrite history, the move was generally seen as the right one.

I leave it to exam setters to ponder how much it may have been an attempt to excise the stain of Suez.

Also, anti-American sentiment really ramped up in the initial phases.

Women's tennis? Where are the women? Oh! There they are, peeping out from behind a wall of put-me-at-the-front-I'm-so-important men. 🙄

I feel like that photo should have a caption that says "circle the 6 deliberate mistakes in this picture".

I scoffed out loud with a capital 'scoff' 🙄

And what's with the man-spreader on the right?

Isn't that the state approved power stance ?

Anyone else have a feeling that this is the calm before the storm? The current state of affairs isn't sustainable, somethings got to give.

Yes. Fairly quiet on news feeds today. A lot of repeating things we already know about. Even the Iranians taking 3 ships doesn't seem to have rattled Trumps pram..... perhaps someone with a brain told him to shut his cake hole.

Maybe they gave him a toy phone where we can use Truth Social at his free will. But no internet 😁

Yes,it feels unreal. But I can't help but feel, not think, but feel he'll lose, flounce off and call it a win. But struggling to see how the SoH opens in next week or two. And if this gets to May we're in serious serious doodoo

If there was any cheese in the vicinity of my dog, laying down or not, it wouldn't be there long enough to register in my eyeballs.

Trump wasn't labelled Teflon for no reason. Look at the sliding of the thousands of references to him in the Epstein files, pussy grabgate, capitol hill, un-sanctioning of Russia via illegal war, etc etc.
