What are your favourite teabags? Currently like twinings everyday but trying to budget.

DH: PG Tips
Me: Barry’s Red or Teapigs English Breakfast

Agree with pp’s re Punjana, if you can get it. I buy the loose tea and it’s hard to beat, but the teabags are excellent too.

Cornish Tea Smugglers Brew. The best by far but possibly not the cheapest.

Rington's Extra Fresh...local family run company in The North East. Best tea in the world and the best ginger snaps! My Granny bought the tea 1910 onwards as did all the family and my Mam's family as well.
We still have a travelling salesman call with his basket of wares

I have been using them for a few months now, and agree best tea ever. Won't buy anything else now. I am in Manchester and they have a round that calls at my home, or I can order online and delivery is super quick

Another for Thompsons / Punjana.

We don't buy anything else. DH even insists on taking them with him when we go away anywhere. In his little sandwich bag.

I drank Tetleys when I was a teenager and thought it was a good tea. I tried it after switching to Thompsons and, my God, it wasn't remotely like tea.

If you're talking classic builders tea than it has to be Yorkshire tea. If it's favourite tea in general it would Chocolate Digestives from Bird & Blend. That said baby does not have time for tea so most of the time I can't keep it down.

Rington ginger snaps!

there was a man with a van who used to visit my in laws and rang a bell and he brought those amazing ginger snaps and tea in a green van.

my young ds was dazzled by things being delivered in a van.

I know this is a heinous crime, but Yorkshire biscuit tea 🫣

It's all I'll drink now. Love it!

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 05/04/2026 18:59

After all that I got Lidl Red label tea. But I also got my fave twinings everyday. The Lidl is fine. But I can tell the difference! Very good value though.

Sugar! 😅.

If I have Earl Grey I have it with lemon, no milk. Lady grey, I just drink black. No additions.

I know I’m a heathen 😱🤣

The choc digestives tea is £7 for the teabags! 😱is it that good? It has lots of reviews.

Yorkshire Biscuit Tea, always!

The Bakewell one is nice as well

EndofDaze · 05/04/2026 19:30

Twinings Extra Strong English Breakfast is really nice. Converted relatively recently from Yorkshire Gold. Frequently on offer in Sainsbury or Tesco.

Not gonna lie I love it! The Red Velvet is also a banger. It's one of those things where when I get home after a long day it instantly relaxes me so it's worth it to me.

Yorkshire biscuit tea is the absolute BOMB. The Cherry Bakewell and Malted Biscuit are 😘👌

TurnipsAndParsnips · 05/04/2026 21:06

Birchall is great but we usually drink loose leaf. I have Punjana teabags in the office.
