And when there is an election tomorrow, that will be very handy.

It shows 4 parties in close contention 3 years out from a GE. Interesting, but hardly earthshaking. Reform support seems flat, which I think is a good thing.

This morning on Today someone said there were polls showing 5 parties neck and neck. We do indeed live in Interesting Times.

ProudAmberTurtle possibly meant to post on a different thread 😉

Labour MP Karl Turner has had the whip suspended.

I understand several MPs complained about an interview criticising No10 that Turner gave to Jody McIntyre for his X account.

McIntyre is a campaigner who stood against Jess Phillips at the general election in a campaign she heavily criticised.

Wouldn't that result actually point to a hung Parliament and possibly a left wing coalition of Labour, Greens, Lib Dems, SNP and Plaid? Cons and Reform would be short of a majority, even in coalition.

Obviously depends on how that result would translate into seats, though. But heartening that the left is out-pacing the right.

It also points to we really need PR, but I won't hold my breath.

It also imagines that electoral reform isn't happening.

It's one of those duck activities right now. But all parties (except Reform) are on the APPG with a view to delivering something sooner rather than later - it's a massive list.

The consensus from all sides is that when less than 50% of the popular vote goes to the two largest parties combined, you are in trouble

Maybe he'll go to Reform. And be done with it. Or the other far right party Restore.

This has taken quite a turn. 🤣😳. The truth is I’m going slightly doolally watching lamb cam. Sleep deprived. Only 2 ewes left. ZP gives me the boak though. I hope neither him nor Farage get anywhere near power. Hell I’d rather have Keir.

I'm not a fan of either, so we have that in common. Good luck with the ewes and the lambs. Hope the weather stays clement.

I've been watching this www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m002t686

Sorry!

That's OK. It is not even the lowest Labour has polled on YouGov, hence my disappointment.😁 Lowest has been 15%, I think.

If the price to pay for keeping Reform (or less likely the Tories) away from power is a dalliance with the Greens .... well that is a price I am more than happy for other people to pay.

I am mildly intrigued by the low energy thinking which is happy to accept he Tories did fuck all for 14 years whilst simultaneously believing that <insert bete noir> will be able to implement everything in the first week.

It's almost as if they haven't been paying attention to how a party with a 100+ majority has done so little in 2 years.

It all depends on whether Polanski gets a seat in Parliament.

One of them is mother of the house Diane Abbot.

cardibach · 31/03/2026 15:48

I’ve had a Senedd leaflet from the Greens. It’s a bit sneaky and I continue to be unimpressed with them as a result. The outside is black and white with the tiniest logo and a disclaimer in small print that’s on behalf of the Greens and purports to be abput the way the Senedd vote is changing. It’s Green inside and refers to several polls saying voting Green ‘could’ keep Reform out of the constituency. No mention of how to see the polls or who they are by, just a swing diagram which only shows Labour and Green and doesn’t give a figure as to what percentages the swing leaves for each party. I don’t trust it. They pulled something similar in Gordon and Denton and drove opinion - but as a FPTP race it was less complicated.
Any Welsh people on here who have found actual polls constituency by constituency? Because I’ve tried and I can’t - which makes me even more suspicious of the leaflet. Are they passing of national polls (which I have found) as constituency based? Because even the swing they crow about would be wrong if so…

Quite happy for LibDems to come back too.

Literally ABR - Anyone But Reform.

(I am warmed by the fact that having seen what the Tories do to coalition partners there is fuck all chance of a Reform-Tory coalition anytime soon).

I haven't seen any polls Cardi. That does sound really sneaky. I will watch out for that leaflet. I have had none recently.
