This was nice whilst it lasted

https://bsky.app/profile/thetimes.com/post/3mib2kb7ed52h

The number of job vacancies rose for the first time in seven months after a “rare moment of optimism” in the labour market shortly before the outbreak of war in Iran

I dunno. Probably a good time to be a coffin maker.

But we're not allowed to call Brexiters thick...

The story just really made me laugh.

Leave a group and then demand you retain access to groups facilities.

i suspect he thought he held all the cards/thought German car manufacturers would save him etc etc

Andrew Rosindell, who has represented Romford in east London since 2001, was locked out of the office that he had occupied for over two decades, at Margaret Thatcher House in Romford

The only thing of interest in that article was learning that there is a Margaret Thatcher House in Romford ...

I’m sure there are Liz Truss houses dotted all over the country.

Christ on a bike. What a ridiculous man.

Christ on a bike. What a ridiculous man.

Risible on the one hand.

But on the other hand, it's a chilling cross section of the fucking moronic random activity of neurons that passes for thought inside the head of a Brexiteer.

It's clear he genuinely believed that he had a god given right to someone elses stuff because of who he was (donchaknow ?). It's a completely unreconstructed view into the mentality that created the British Empire.

Notonthestairs · 30/03/2026 16:38

The cost of taking it to the High Court must have been significant. Wonder who paid.

The Conservative Association has been awarded costs from Mr Rosindell so I guess Reform will be coughing up.

Surely he needs to appeal to the ECtHR. This is blatant discrimination against someone of little intelligence. The thin end of the wedge for Reform supporters.

Is anyone else wondering what he had in his panic room?

Or maybe I watch too many weird movies Grin

Pleased to see that you had a good time at the march @MsJinks and thank you for telling us all about it

It's entirely possible that I thought about Andrew Rosindell even less than he thought about me.

DuncinToffee · 30/03/2026 16:50

For the best Jane

FT is reporting that the government is on the verge of fully nationalising British Steel,

I fear the judge who said it ought to have been blindingly obvious is not aware of quite how thick Rosindell is.

Mind you, you’d think he’d be used to being denied access to an office.
