What was your child's first word?

Apart from Dadda, Mumma, etc, my ds first word was "door." Well, " doooor" elongated, repeated many times as two or three syllables and intonation, like "dorwerwer."

My elder son was a right potty mouth! He was a huge Thomas the Tank engine fan and his first word was the first 4 letters of controller, as in Fat Controller. Pronounced perfectly as cunt. He also called biscuits- gits. Fortunately he grew into a polite young man. 😂

My ds also used to watch Rhyme Rocket (remember that?) One of his new words was "rock."

Then, randomly… gog-gog (dog) which then meant every animal was a gog-gog.

My favourites will always be cumbarbar (cucumber) and draindwuss (dangerous).

Boob! I was breastfeeding and everyone would say “I think she wants boob” every time she cried. I genuinely think she thought my name was boob!

Dadda!!! I was disappointed as I spent more time with him 🤣

His was light. It remained his only word for months!

He was speech delayed and was later diagnosed with autism - and he’s never lost his love of lights.

He's 21 now!
