When did your DS catch up with you height wise?

How tall are you and at what age did your DS catch with you?
(Specifically DSs as they typically tend to grow taller than their mothers)

I'm 5'7 and just realised this morning that DS just turned 12 was eyeball to eyeball with me.
Older DDs are 5'9 and 5'8.

Eldest one was 13 when he overtook me....now I come up-to his armpit!! 🤣

I'm 5'4 btw 🤣

I’m 5’10” and DS1 overtook me a couple of months past his 13th birthday. He’s hoping to catch 6’ DH before he turns 14. (Men in my family seem to grow early but stop by about 16).

11.. still in primary school. I am 5ft, he’s 5ft 1.

He overtook me in shoes when he was 8.

12 but I’m only 4”11 so it wasn’t hard 😂

I’m 5”1 and he caught up with me when he was 13ish. He’s well over 6ft now! Takes after his dad.

Honestly he just seemed to shoot up overnight.
I'm sure he was only up to my chin last night! 😅

i am 5‘7. He has matched and then over took me at 13. my dd past me at 15. i am now the shortest.

I’m 5’11 and DS1 was 15 when he overtook me and he’s 6’1 now at 17 and I think still growing.

DS2 is 5’7 at 13 and judging by the ankle gap that’s just appeared between school trousers and shoe I think he’s just hitting a spurt.

DH is 6’1, It won’t be long until I’m the shortest person in my household! I’ve never been the shortest person anywhere before so I’m looking forward to that

DS1 overtook DH aged 14, and me aged 15.

DS2 overtook both me and and DH aged 14.

Just waiting for DS2 to overtake DS1 now.

Off topic but when did MN change the format of putting the main body of your first and then the title??
I was a tad confused (admittedly does not take much)

I’m 5ft 6 and my son was 10 when he just about over took me! He turned 14 in October and he’s currently 6ft 1! His dad is 5ft 8 so doesn’t take after us! My sister (full sister!) is 6ft 2 and takes after her!

Just bought my 11yr old some age 12 trousers and the legs are the same length as my trousers (5 foot 3) - same sock size for a while now.
He is still sub-adult height so I now assume there will be a growth spurt in the next year and he will equal me then.

I’m 5”8 and was overtaken at 11. At 14 he’s 6”4. I hope he stops growing soon, especially the feet.

13 and he's only just overtaken me (I'm only 5ft 1in).

About 12? Im 5ft 8, he just missed getting to 6 foot before his 14th birthday, has only grown about 3 inches in the last year so definitely slowing down now. He wants to get to 6ft 4 as that is the best height for his sport apparently.

at 12. I’m 5 foot 4. He’s 13 now and 5 foot 11. He has stretch marks on his back bless him because he shot up so quick. He wants to get to his dad’s height which is 6 foot 5.

im 5’6 DS 18 reached my height I think at about 13…. He’s now 6ft 3 😭

As adults Ds1 is 6 ft 3
Ds2 is 5 ft 10

Ds1 was equal to me at around 11
im not sure about DS 2, I know he used to kiss me on the top of my head at around 14,

DS almost 14, he's head and shoulders above me and I'm 5'4"

I’m 5ft2, my 9 year old is shoulder height, and the same shoe size as me (5).

I’m thinking he’ll at least catch me by the time he moves up to secondary, if not outgrow me by then.
