I was firm, but polite. I think it helped I had a phone to my ear and was clearly un (or is it dis ?) interested.

If I were to gamble, I would hazard a guess that before knocking on my door, they had clearly been told to fuck off more than once. They did seem to adopt that stance. (cf Stewart Lee "I adopted the stance of a man expecting praise" 😀 )

Meanwhile, the complex flavours that can only develop in a dish that has had a long time in the fridge - like a wonderful sourdough - are certainly extant in this lovely news.

🙄

There's obviously a few typos in this. What it meant to say is:

Conservatives will target any sector of society it doesn't like.
And use the savings for a bigger Army to make up for the one we decimated whilst in power.

Any visit abroad between 2019 and 2022, when I said I came from these shores, was met with the response of incredulity that Boris Johnson was Prime Minister.

Only Orban in Hungary was worse out of any democracy. And even Donald Trump managed the pandemic better in the US than Boris Johnson did in the UK.

And use the savings for

loads of commission and bonuses for our mates. None of you thickies will notice and when it's all been uncovered we'll be well away and have (yet) another Labour government take the rap.

Very well put!

I'm quite deliberately not doing politics this weekend. I'm starting DD1's crochet blanket tomorrow (it will be one giant closed granny square) and we've implemented the next hair design, which is somewhere between a Day of the Dead pattern and a homage to Keith Haring. Yes, I'll post photos.

pointythings · 07/03/2026 19:40

Painted head.

Fabulous Pointy on both endeavours.

BIossomtoes · 07/03/2026 19:47

Gorgeous.

DD works in a coffeeshop and the customers really like her ever changing hair. It's based in a venue where there are lots of children, and they love it. It's a very bonding thing to do as well.

Next design is going to be tulips over the Easter weekend.

dontcallmelen · 07/03/2026 19:59

Placemats enjoy your new front door.
I can’t listen to St.Kemi she is just so hectoring all the time for an educated women she really does talk such a complete load of bollocks.
I been out doing boring stuff bought a new microwave & looking for a new fridge/freezer proving difficult actually seeing them physically.

War is over

https://bsky.app/profile/atrupar.com/post/3mgiqcojhzc2q
Trump: “The UK, our once Great Ally, maybe the Greatest of them all, is finally giving serious thought to sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East. That’s OK, PM Starmer, we don’t need them any longer — But we will remember. We don’t need people that join Wars after we’ve already won!”

He'll trip over that pet lip.

Your DD's hair is fabulous, @pointythings

Well, given he said our troops ‘hung back’ and didn’t get involved in Afghanistan, he won’t mind will he. Can’t have it both ways.

DuncinToffee · 07/03/2026 21:30

One of the Board of Peace member, a certain Tony Blair, has rebuked Starmer over failure to back Trump's war.

Hmm

Hmm

Luckily he's not prime minister any more and hasn't been for almost 2 decades. He can fuck right off with fagash Nige.

Shit stirring

I actually think he should be considered a traitor - it can’t be right that a sitting MP goes chatting against his own government policy and indeed ‘shit stirs’ with a country that is not really an ally.

Is he ok to go shit chat to Putin? (Perhaps he does tbf but on telegram).

Hmm

Blair can sod off. So many military deaths and injuries caused by him and he thinks it's a good idea to do it all again. Off you fuck Tony.

BIossomtoes · 08/03/2026 09:26

Interesting piece in this morning’s Observer.

DuncinToffee · 08/03/2026 09:41

Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper responds to President Trump’s latest outburst.

“The job of the British PM is to take decisions in the national interest of the U.K., not in the interests of other countries… we don’t outsource foreign policy to other countries”.
