Sir Keir speaks on his own Youtube channel

Nooo. He is not good at this sort of thing 🫣

She’s surely not going to steal Farage’s clothes? I thought potholes were his thing?

"Mr. Speaker, while I echo the right honourable members concern for the number of potholes on Britains roads, I would like to point out they make very handy hiding places for when announcements about policy changes are made"

I actually think he’s much better when he just talks. He seems more able to show his human side.

You’d have thought they could have found him a wireless mic, I was distracted by that bloody mic stand all the way through. The camera operative was an amateur too. No 10’s comms really are abysmal.

I'd rather hear him say what he means than any number of "journalists" writing about what they think he said. Or will say. Or might have said.

I am reminded of a teacher who preferred a scribbled something over a flawless nothing.

BIossomtoes · 17/03/2026 16:12

It’s not rocket science @SerendipityJane. No team I ever managed would have dared produce something so amateur, it looked like something knocked up in someone’s bedroom on a 50p budget. It’s frankly insulting.

Is there anyone who deliberately pays more tax than they need ?

I do wonder who Reform think they are targeting with that idea. Clearly the uber-dim among us. Which may prove counter productive when the eat the pencils rather than vote with them.

I believe Tony Benn did.

I have this feeling But Jeremy Corbyn did.

If it was too slick, everyone would be complaining about that.

I doubt it. People are used to high quality broadcast. They expect it.

Sorry, but even the "With Keir" title is cringeworthy. I can see what they are trying to do, but the approach is wrong. Is he trying to emulate Corbyn's approach to PMQ's, when he read out questions from constituents, which also always made me wince a bit.

Wish I'd never posted it now.

I don't think we are the intended audience.

As someone with no audiovisual training what was wrong with the camera? I was expecting from other comments it to be all wobbly or something but it looked... Fine. I guess I am missing some of the technical nuances though

You're not alone. I watched it and thought it was absolutely fine. But then I also like his official TikTok account.

DuncinToffee · 17/03/2026 16:53

I didn't see much wrong with it either

Unlike the previous Telegraph owners, 'patriots' indeed

Irish Taoiseach Micheál Martin defending Starmer to Trump. Says he's done a lot to repair the UK/Irish relationship.

Trump says US/UK relationship "was the best...until Keir came along."

I would take that as a compliment

"On Tuesday, BA suspended some Middle East routes until June, "due to the continuing uncertainty of the situation in the Middle East and airspace instability".

The airline said it had temporarily cancelled flights to Dubai, Bahrain, Tel Aviv and Amman in Jordan up to and including 31 May"

Oh, I do hope this won't inconvenience Tricky Dicky travelling home to the lovely Oakeshott.

We do. I’m sorry to be so critical, as someone who used to be responsible for producing these things, I saw all the flaws and focused on how I’d do it differently.

Is this some sort of counter to Kemi & co?

The U.K. Government is opting for the EU over Trump. They won't shout this from the rooftops, but this is the implicit political message from Rachel Reeves' Mais lecture today:

“No partnership is more important than that between the UK and our European neighbours.”
