You could send them any old rubbish, couldn’t you? It’s so tempting to send them the election leaflets from all the parties - individually, of course.

Reform has so much cash sloshing about I am not sure they'd care. Have you seen the competition Farage launched today? The lucky winner will get their fuel bill paid for a year along with the rest of their street.

Inspired by Musks lottery ?

We should all enter. The thought of him paying for my electricity is glorious. I might take up bitcoin mining.

SerendipityJane · 17/03/2026 13:58

@Llttledrummergirl

The French for "hidden" is "cache" (who among us has not played cache-cache ?)

In case you need a word that isn't Greek in origin.

Amusingly "cache" is a homonym with "cash". So a "cachecurrency" is oxymoronic on so many levels

I wonder what Harry Palmer would be up to now

"Funeral in Berlin" is up there a one of the best spy films ever made.

Len Deighton is seen staring into camera. He is leaning on the roof of a black London tax with his elbow and has his hand on his head.

Len Deighton obituary: Len Deighton: How The Observer's cookery cartoonist became a master spy writer

Best-selling spy author whose workaday secret agents were a world away from the glamour of James Bond.

Very interesting consensus about the tax payer not bailing out people who choose to leave the country.

"On Tuesday, BA suspended some Middle East routes until June, "due to the continuing uncertainty of the situation in the Middle East and airspace instability".

The airline said it had temporarily cancelled flights to Dubai, Bahrain, Tel Aviv and Amman in Jordan up to and including 31 May"

Oh, I do hope this won't inconvenience Tricky Dicky travelling home to the lovely Oakeshott.

There has been a mad scramble among recent UK immigrants to Dubai to try to leave the city, but avoid actually being "in" the UK as they would have to pay a fucktonne of tax.

So I for one am hoping that the ever-resourceful criminal classes of the world are even as I type using "AI" to craft a serious of fake "How to escape UK tax as you flee Dubai" websites - ideally festooned with Union flags - in order to fleece these insatiable cunts.

Is there anyone who deliberately pays more tax than they need ?

I do wonder who Reform think they are targeting with that idea. Clearly the uber-dim among us. Which may prove counter productive when the eat the pencils rather than vote with them.

And now Badenoch is calling Trump's comments about Starmer “childish".

"I'm Keir Starmer's biggest critic... but the last thing we need is a war of words.”

Not a u-turn, just a flip-flop

Fans of "Mock O' the Week" will have been struck by Rhys James point that as soon as foreigners attack Britain non ironically - there is a pulling together across the divides.

What a MASSIVE, lying hypocrite she is. All the childish things she has called Starmer and the Labour party.

Kemi, nobody cares what you think. After May you are very likely to be heading towards toastdom (and yes, lurkers, we all know Starmer is likely to be too).

Personally I'm quite happy ... it means Farage is rather forced to either stay quiet or try to distract. Possibly why St. Kemi did it.

Speaking of Farage...his fans won't care but it might spur people on to get out and tactically vote against Reform:

PMQs should be interesting tomorrow.

Kemi probably imputed something into her phone before she turned off the alarm (the alarm never wakes her I'm presuming), and the algorithms said NO! Hence the flip flop u-turn 😂

If I were running the show, then I wold make Starmers very first words - before his reply to the question (assuming there is one, we are dealing with St. Kemi) a syrupy gracious nod to the LOTO for their support for the country, before delivering the traditional pasting.

£5 says that doesn't happen. So sure am I of the skill team Starmer have for scoring own goals from back passing.

Um, appreciate I stopped paying attention to Badenoch a while ago, but wasn’t she keen to give America every bit of support they asked for?

So if it had been left to Badenoch we’d have been at war with Iran for the last fortnight?

Obviously we wouldn’t have known why we were at war or what our objectives were but that didn’t seem to matter.

I suppose our troops would have been hiding at the back anyway.

I'm going to call it out. This will be the basis for Badenoch's questions tomorrow.

£18bn needed to fix England and Wales potholes, road surfacing experts estimate

Vehicle drivers make their way past a deep pothole on a lane on January 22, 2026 in Knutsford, United Kingdom.

Cost of fixing potholes hits £18bn, industry body estimates

Just 51% of the local road network in England and Wales is reported to be in good condition, research suggests.

I ve just come back along the south coasts A35 and A30, not only was the traffic insane, the road surfaces were in places, falling apart, these are main trunk roads.

Does leave herself open to "You left us the roads in this state...."

If not this, i think it'll be on energy prices.

BIossomtoes · 17/03/2026 15:54

She’s surely not going to steal Farage’s clothes? I thought potholes were his thing?
