I vote as and when. None of this "through and through" bollocks that did for so many.

There are other ways to skin the cat that is fighting facism. Quite happily Green or LibDem if needs be,.

Centrist voters, like myself, often have views that are left and right of a centrist view.

I'd only vote LibDem or Green if it was tactical to keep out reformatories and I'd definitely be researching it.

I think we were always going to be dragged in to this war.

I think Trump will lose interest after the bombing ends and the fight for peace begins.

I think there will chaos in Iran as the different groups slug it out and whilst that continues the little infrastructure there is will degrade further (power/water/medical facilities).

And we know that humanitarian disasters lead to refugee crises.

All at a time when foreign aid has been slashed and will be slashed further.

And lo, the likes of Farage and Badenoch will seek to make political hay from increased numbers of Iranians looking to flee.

Some tit will suggest that because I am concerned about all of these things that somehow that equates to support for a frankly terrifying, murderous regime. It doesn't.

Iran's already suffering a water crisis, thanks to climate change and years of resource mismanagement.
The minute the fighting stops, I expect a lot of people to flee.

Mystery solved

“Dubai Airports announces a limited resumption of flights from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Central - Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) starting this evening, Monday, March 2, 2026,” it said in a statement.

Etihad Airways, which operates flights from Abu Dhabi, said it would resume flights on Tuesday.

Yes, I was reading about the water shortages - nightly water pressure cuts in Tehran and Tabriz, the main reservoirs are only 11% full. I dont know whether it has rained since those January reports but food/water scarcity would be pretty terrifying - as would fleeing in to the unknown.
