Matt Pound, Rachel Reeves’ political secretary, is leaving government. This is the very last of the team loyal to McSweeney.

That influence is now gone from government - remains unclear what will emerge next with big roles still unfilled.

In her disastrous PMQs today, Badenoch mentioned Reeves supposed 'job' in the Bank of England. To be clear this was a reference to Rachel from accounts which is just beyond the pale from an opposition leader.

I'm horrified by some of the decisions Starmer has rubber stamped - Mandelsons role as US Ambassador for one - but people have very short memories...

If I had Reeves ear I would tell her to;
Put NI up to 20% (most people will happily pay for decent nhs services...)
Sort out tax bands - its too much of a cliff edge >£60k
Tax the fucking billionaires
Companies that don't pay tax should leave the UK

Like you I am glad.

I hide a lot of them now so that I am not tempted to post and I hid AIBU a few days ago.

Paedo is just what the hard of coping with a hotel protest not being allowed close access to hurl personal abuse at counter protestors were shouting - over and over as they also seemed too challenged to think of anything else relevant to their ‘concerns’.
Us counter protestors had speakers, songs, various sayings.

But every single time I hear this word I think of the collective hotel protestors - I guess Kemi probably would back them but it is very, very far removed from what I expect to hear in Parliament or at PMQs.

But surely, people have barely recovered from the horror of Raynor saying ‘Tory scum’ so this will be even more appalling for everyone - umm.

mmm perhaps but as Mandelson is employing Mishcon de Raya, i doubt he planning to flee, he is innocent until proven guilty and the Met were happy for him to attend an interview in March.
So presumably did not see him as a flight risk or evidence to charge him.

Btw, i'm not defending him, i think he is a vile individual, who should get the full force of the law if he is guilty but atm he is not.

I just don't like the circus the surrounds these hi profile arrests, with press etc its trial by media...

I would just like to know who told Hoyle this info... it all smacks as a bit of a set up i.e Tory Media....

I also detest the fact that men are being arrested for everything but sex with trafficked women and under aged girls, as always, money & power buys silence.
